4. Setup Guide
4.1. Battery Installation
- Drone Battery: The drone features a modular battery design. Gently slide the battery into the designated compartment on the drone until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release tab and slide it out.
- Remote Controller Battery: Open the battery cover on the back of the remote controller. Insert 3 x 1.5V AA carbon batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery cover. Note: Do not use alkaline batteries; only carbon batteries are compatible.
4.2. Charging the Drone Battery
- Connect the drone battery to the provided USB charging cable.
- Plug the USB cable into a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
- The charging indicator light will show the charging status (refer to the specific indicator behavior in your package for details, typically red for charging, off/green for full).
- Charging time is approximately 60-70 minutes. Do not overcharge.
4.3. Propeller Installation (if required)
The drone typically comes with propellers pre-installed. If replacement is needed:
- Identify the 'A' and 'B' marked propellers.
- Match the 'A' propellers to the 'A' motor shafts and 'B' propellers to the 'B' motor shafts.
- Gently push the propellers onto the motor shafts until they are secure. Use the provided wrench if necessary for removal.
4.4. Pairing the Drone and Remote Controller
- Place the drone on a flat, level surface.
- Power on the drone. The LED lights will flash.
- Power on the remote controller.
- Push the left joystick (throttle) all the way up, then all the way down. The drone's LED lights will stop flashing and remain solid, indicating successful pairing.
4.5. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection
- Scan the QR code in the manual or search for the designated app (e.g., '4DRC PRO' or similar) on your smartphone's app store.
- Install the app.
- Turn on the drone.
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (e.g., '4DRC-V16-XXXXXX').
- Open the app to access FPV (First Person View) and advanced control features.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote controller. Avoid using water or solvents.
- Propellers: Regularly check propellers for damage. Replace any bent or broken propellers immediately to ensure stable flight.
- Motors: Keep motors free from dust and debris.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not expose them to extreme temperatures. If not used for a long time, charge and discharge the battery periodically to maintain its health.
- Storage: When not in use, store the drone and its accessories in the provided storage bag or a safe, dry environment.
7. Troubleshooting
- Drone does not respond to remote: Ensure both drone and remote are powered on and successfully paired. Check remote controller batteries.
- Drone drifts during flight: Perform calibration on a flat surface. Use the trim buttons on the remote to fine-tune stability.
- Short flight time: Ensure the drone battery is fully charged. Battery performance can degrade over time; consider replacing if significantly reduced.
- Poor camera feed/No FPV: Ensure your smartphone is correctly connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network. Check app permissions for camera and storage.
- Drone crashes easily: Check propellers for damage and replace if necessary. Ensure propeller guards are securely attached. Practice flying in an open, safe area.
8. User Tips
- Start Indoors: For beginners, practice basic controls in a spacious indoor area before attempting outdoor flights.
- Check Weather: Avoid flying in windy conditions (anti-wind ability is <10km/h) or rain to prevent damage and loss of control.
- Pre-Flight Check: Always ensure batteries are charged, propellers are secure, and the drone is paired before each flight.
- Learn Headless Mode: Headless mode can simplify initial flights by removing the need to orient the drone.
- Use Propeller Guards: The 360-degree protection guards are crucial for preventing damage during collisions, especially for new pilots.
- Explore App Features: The companion app unlocks advanced features like Trajectory Flight, Voice Control, and FPV, enhancing your flying experience.
9. Safety Guidelines
- Age Restriction: This product is not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. Recommended age is 14+ years.
- Supervision: Always operate the drone under adult supervision, especially with younger users.
- Flight Environment: Fly in open areas, away from people, animals, buildings, and power lines. Do not fly near airports or restricted airspace.
- Line of Sight: Always keep the drone within your line of sight.
- Battery Safety: Do not puncture, drop, or short-circuit batteries. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
