4. Setup and Operation
The KEYDIY Cloud Key remotes are designed for easy face-to-face copying. Follow these steps for successful operation.
4.1. Remote Details and Indicator Lights (CS01 Example)

Refer to Figure 4 for visual guidance on button layout and indicator lights.
Buttons and Indicator Lights:
- The CS01 remote has three LED lights (1, 2, 3) to indicate working remote number.
- The middle button (gear icon) is the function button.
- The other four buttons are remote buttons.
4.2. Copying a Remote
4.2.1. Indication or Switch for Activate Working Remote
Press the function button (gear icon). The corresponding activated remote light will flash once. Press the function button again to switch to another remote. Press the function button again to activate the remote.

4.2.2. Copy New Remote
- Press and hold the button on the old remote.
- Simultaneously press and hold the corresponding button on the KD Cloud Key.
- The light will flash, then stay lit, indicating successful copying.
- Repeat for all buttons.
- If the light flashes quickly, it means the frequency is not supported or the remote is a rolling code. In this case, use a new KEYDIY remote or the mobile APP to copy the data.
4.2.3. Delete Copied Remote Data
Press and hold the function button for 7 seconds. The light will be off, then on, then off again after 7 flashes. This indicates the data has been deleted. You can then copy a new remote.
4.3. Bluetooth Mode
4.3.1. Enter Bluetooth Mode
Press and hold the function button for 3 seconds. The light will be off, then on, then off again after 7 flashes. This means the remote has entered Bluetooth mode.
4.3.2. Exit Bluetooth Mode
If not connected to the phone, it will exit automatically after 1 minute.
4.4. Cloud Backup and Download
- To upload the remote to the cloud: Open the Mobile KD app and connect the remote. Select the needed remote in the list to backup.
- To download from the cloud: Backup users can download remote directly to a new remote.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the remote in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: If the remote's performance degrades, consider replacing the internal battery. Refer to Figure 6 for guidance on accessing the battery compartment.
- Environmental Protection: Avoid exposure to water, dust, and strong magnetic fields.

- Q: Failed to clone?
- A: If the remote was not cloned, please delete the existing data and try again.
- Q: Cloned successfully but remote distance is short?
- A: This could be due to several reasons:
- Frequency effect may be caused by environment, interference, or battery.
- Check the battery.
- If the frequency is not correct, adjust it again.
- Q: How to clone the rolling code remote?
- A: For rolling code remotes, do not use the face-to-face copy method. Instead, use the mobile APP to clone the original remote button until the cloning process is complete.
- Q: Failed to connect the Mobile KD app automatically?
- A:
- Make sure the remote is in Bluetooth mode. Hold the functional button for 3 seconds.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- If connection issues persist, please select the "All In One Cloud Remote" option in the Mobile KD app.
7. User Tips
- Cloning Rolling Codes: For rolling code remotes, direct face-to-face copying might not work. Always use the mobile APP for these types of remotes to ensure proper cloning.
- Frequency Adjustment: If you experience short remote distance after cloning, verify and adjust the frequency using the phone APP.
- Data Backup: Utilize the cloud backup feature to save your copied remote data, preventing loss and allowing easy restoration to new remotes.
