This ECGSOLAX Hybrid Solar Inverter is a multi-function inverter/charger that combines the functionalities of an inverter, solar charger, and battery charger. It is designed to provide uninterruptible power support in a portable size. The comprehensive LCD display allows for user-configurable and easy-to-access button operations, including battery charging current, AC/solar charger priority, and acceptable input voltage based on different applications.

This inverter is suitable for home use, offering off-grid pure sine wave power with an integrated 80A MPPT solar charge controller.

4. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is critical for the safe and efficient operation of your solar inverter. All wiring must be performed by qualified personnel.

4.1. System Connection Diagram

The inverter can integrate solar power, a generator, or utility power with external battery packs to supply home appliances.

4.2. Battery Connection

CAUTION: For safety operation and regulation compliance, it's requested to install a separate DC over-current protector or disconnect device between the battery and inverter. It may not be requested to have a disconnect device in some applications; however, it's still requested to have over-current protection installed. Please refer to typical amperage in the table below as required fuse or breaker size.

WARNING! All wiring must be performed by a qualified personnel.

WARNING! It's very important for system safety and efficient operation to use appropriate cable for battery connection. To reduce risk of injury, please use the proper recommended cable as below.

Steps for Battery Connection:

  1. Remove insulation sleeve 18 mm for positive and negative conductors.
  2. Suggest to put bootlace ferrules on the end of positive and negative wires with a proper crimping tool.
  3. Connect all battery packs as shown in the diagram below.

  1. Insert the battery wires flatly into the battery connectors of the inverter and make sure the bolts are tightened with a torque of 2 Nm in a clockwise direction. Make sure polarity at both the battery and the inverter/charge is correctly connected and conductors are tightly screwed into the battery terminals. Recommended tool: #2 Pozi Screwdriver.

WARNING: Shock Hazard! Installation must be performed with care due to high battery voltage in series.

CAUTION!! Before making the final DC connection or closing the DC breaker/disconnector, be sure positive (+) must be connected to positive (+) and negative (-) must be connected to negative (-).

5.1. LCD Display and Function Keys

The LCD display provides real-time information about the inverter's status and allows for configuration changes using the function buttons.

  • Environment: Ensure the inverter is installed in a well-ventilated area, free from direct sunlight, moisture, and corrosive substances. Maintain ambient temperatures within the specified operating range.
  • Battery Health: If using external batteries, monitor their health and charge levels. Follow the battery manufacturer's maintenance guidelines.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates that may improve performance or add features.
