4.1. Door Preparation
Before installation, ensure your door meets the following requirements:

- Adjustable Latch: The included single latch is adjustable for 60mm or 70mm backsets.

4.2. Physical Installation
Refer to the detailed instructions provided in the 'Smart lock manual' included in your package for step-by-step physical installation. This typically involves:
- Preparing the door and door frame according to the template.
- Installing the latch into the door edge.
- Mounting the exterior and interior panels.
- Connecting the cables between the panels.
- Securing the lock with screws.
4.3. App Setup (Tuya App)
To utilize the smart features of your lock, download and set up the Tuya Smart App:
- Download the Tuya Smart App from your smartphone's app store (iOS 7.0 or above, Android 4.4 or above).
- Register or log in to your Tuya account.
- Add the smart lock device by following the in-app instructions.
- For Remote Control and Voice Control: A Zigbee Wi-Fi gateway (G2 Bridge) is required and sold separately. Connect the gateway to your Tuya App and then link your smart lock to the gateway.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint reader. The lock will recognize your fingerprint in under 0.3 seconds and unlock.
- Password Unlock: Enter your 4-8 digit user-defined password on the keypad. The anti-peep password feature allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual password to prevent others from guessing it.
- Smart Card Unlock: Present a registered smart card to the card reader area on the lock. The lock supports 13.56 MHz RFID cards.
- Mechanical Key Unlock: In case of emergencies or battery depletion, insert the mechanical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.
- Tuya App Unlock: Open the Tuya App on your smartphone, select your lock, and use the 'Long Press To Unlock' function. This requires Bluetooth proximity or a connected Zigbee gateway for remote access.
5.2. Locking Methods
- Automatic Deadbolt Lock: You can set an auto-lock time via the Tuya App. After the door closes and the set time elapses, the lock will automatically engage the deadbolt.
- Manual Locking: From the interior, turn the thumb knob to engage the deadbolt. From the exterior, after closing the door, the lock will automatically engage if auto-lock is enabled, or you can manually lock it via the app.
6. Smart Features
6.1. Remote Control
With a connected Zigbee Wi-Fi gateway (sold separately), you can remotely control your smart deadbolt lock from anywhere using the Tuya App. This allows you to lock or unlock your door even when you are not home.
6.2. Voice Control
When connected to a Zigbee gateway, your YRHAND T1 Pro lock is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. You can use voice commands to lock or unlock your door, for example, "Hey Alexa, unlock the door."

Through the Tuya App, you can create customized smart scenes to automate your home. For example, you can set a scene where the smart lock unlocks and the lights turn on automatically when you arrive home.

The Tuya App allows you to check the unlocking records anytime, anywhere. This feature provides a log of who entered and when, enhancing your home's security monitoring.

6.5. Temporary Passwords and eKeys
You can generate temporary passwords or eKeys through the Tuya App to grant access to visitors, nannies, or service providers for a specific duration. This is ideal for short-term rentals or when you need to provide temporary access.

7. Maintenance
7.1. Battery Replacement
The lock is powered by 4 AA Alkaline batteries. When the battery level is low, the lock will provide a low battery warning. Replace all four batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Access the battery compartment on the rear panel of the lock.
7.2. Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries completely run out before you can replace them, you can use a mobile charger connected to the Micro-USB backup power interface on the exterior panel to temporarily power the lock and gain entry.
8. Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If low, replace batteries or use the Micro-USB emergency power.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry, and placed correctly on the sensor. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
- Password not working: Double-check the entered password. Ensure you are not accidentally triggering the anti-peep feature incorrectly.
- App connection issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. If using remote access, verify your Zigbee gateway is powered on and connected to the internet.
- Door not locking automatically: Check the auto-lock settings in the Tuya App to ensure it's enabled and the delay time is set correctly.
- RFID card not working: Ensure the card is correctly registered and held close to the card reader. The lock uses 13.56 MHz RFID cards.
9. User Tips
- For optimal smart home integration and remote functionality, ensure you purchase and connect a Zigbee gateway. This is necessary for Alexa/Google Home voice control and remote app access.
- The RFID cards provided with the lock operate at a frequency of 13.56 MHz.
- Regularly check the battery status via the Tuya App to avoid being locked out due to depleted batteries.
- Utilize the anti-peep password feature by entering random numbers before and after your actual code to enhance security when others are present.
10. Warranty and Support
10.1. Manufacturer's Limited Warranty
This product comes with a 24-month Manufacturer's Limited Warranty. This warranty covers defective items but excludes items damaged due to misuse or improper installation after receipt.
10.2. Warranty Claims
In the event of a defective item, it MUST be reported and returned within the warranty period, preferably in its original packaging. Before returning any product, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained by contacting the seller. The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning any merchandise.
