5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

The Yieryi 3-in-1 Soil Detector requires 4 LR44 button cell batteries (not included) for operation.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
2. Use the provided small screwdriver to open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 4 LR44 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

6. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to accurately measure your soil conditions:

1. Turn On: Press the ON/OFF button on the device to power it on.
2. Insert Probe: Gently insert the metal probe into the soil to a depth of 8-12 cm (approximately 3-5 inches). Ensure the probe is fully in contact with the soil.
3. Wait for Reading: Wait for approximately 3 seconds. The device will simultaneously display the pH, moisture, and fertility values on the LCD screen.
4. Lock Value: The measured values will automatically lock on the screen after 5 seconds. If you need to take another measurement, press the ON/OFF button again to release the lock and repeat the process.
5. Clean Probe: After each measurement, promptly clean the probe with a soft cloth to remove any soil residue.
