  • Passcode Management: Regularly change your default user and admin passcodes for enhanced security. Remember to keep your admin passcode confidential.
  • RFID Card Convenience: Utilize the RFID cards for quick and easy arming/disarming, especially when entering or leaving your property.
  • Signal Strength: If experiencing connectivity issues, ensure the keypad is within the effective range of your alarm hub and not obstructed by large metal objects.

15. Troubleshooting

  • Keypad not responding: Check if the battery switch is on and if the battery is charged. If the power indicator is blinking red, there might be a battery failure or the switch is off. If flashing red, the battery is low.
  • Unable to pair with hub: Ensure your hub is in pairing/sniffer mode. Verify that both the keypad and hub operate on the 433MHz EV1527 protocol. Avoid metal obstructions between the devices.
  • RFID tags not working: Ensure the RFID tags are correctly paired. If not, follow the 'Pairing RFID Tag' instructions.
  • Passcode not accepted: Double-check that you are entering the correct 4-digit passcode. Remember the default user passcode is "1234" and admin passcode is "8888". If forgotten, you may need to reset the keypad to factory settings.
