Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe both the sensor and receiver with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the indoor receiver in water.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery warning appears on the display to ensure continuous operation and prevent data loss. Always ensure the floating sensor's cover is tightly sealed after battery replacement.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
- No Reading on Receiver:
- Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power in both the sensor and receiver.
- Ensure the sensor and receiver are within the 300ft (90m) transmission range.
- Reduce potential interference from other electronic devices or thick walls.
- Inaccurate Water Temperature:
- Ensure the floating sensor is fully submerged in the water.
- Verify the sensor's cover is tightly sealed to prevent water damage affecting readings.
- Water Inside Sensor: If water enters the sensor, immediately remove batteries, dry the unit thoroughly, and ensure the cover is properly sealed before re-inserting batteries.
- Gateway/App Connectivity Issues: If using with a gateway, ensure the gateway is properly configured and within range of the thermometer. Consult the gateway's manual or manufacturer for specific troubleshooting steps.
