4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to properly set up your ball head with a tripod/monopod and camera:

  1. Mounting the Ball Head to a Tripod/Monopod:
    • Locate the 3/8" screw thread at the bottom of the ball head.
    • If your tripod/monopod has a 3/8" screw, directly screw the ball head onto it until secure.
    • If your tripod/monopod has a 1/4" screw, use one of the provided 1/4" to 3/8" screw adapters. Screw the adapter onto the tripod's 1/4" screw, then attach the ball head to the adapter.
    • Ensure the ball head is firmly tightened to the tripod/monopod to prevent wobbling.
  2. Attaching the Camera to the Quick Release Plate:
    • Take one of the quick release plates.
    • Locate the 1/4" thread screw on the quick release plate.
    • Screw your camera onto this 1/4" thread screw until it is securely attached to the plate.
  3. Attaching the Quick Release Plate (with Camera) to the Ball Head:
    • Ensure the Quick-Shoe Knob on the ball head is loosened.
    • Slide the quick release plate (with your camera attached) into the receiver on top of the ball head.
    • Once the plate is fully seated, tighten the Quick-Shoe Knob firmly to lock the camera in place.
    • Always double-check that your camera is securely mounted before use.

5. Operating Instructions

The Andoer TB81X offers versatile adjustments for your photography needs:

  1. Adjusting Camera Angle (Ball Movement):
    • To adjust the tilt and swivel of your camera, loosen the Coarse Adjustment Knob.
    • Position your camera to the desired angle.
    • Tighten the Coarse Adjustment Knob to lock the ball in place.
    • For minor adjustments, use the Vernier Adjustment Knob for fine-tuning the ball's position.
  2. Panoramic Shooting (360° Rotation):
