The TM611 includes a built-in 3V CR2032 lithium battery to maintain program memory during power outages. If the display becomes dim or programs are lost frequently, the battery may need replacement.
- Disconnect all power to the device before proceeding.
- Carefully remove the timer from its mounting.
- Locate the battery compartment, usually on the side or back.
- Replace the old CR2032 battery with a new one, ensuring correct polarity.
- Reinstall the timer and restore power. You may need to reset the time and reprogram events.
8.2 Cleaning
To clean the device, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the casing or display.
9. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Check power connections (L and N terminals) and ensure the circuit breaker is ON.
- Programs not executing: Verify that the current time and date are set correctly. Ensure the device is in 'AUTO' mode (not manual ON/OFF override). Double-check program settings for correct times and days.
- Display is dim or blank: The internal CR2032 battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery as described in the Maintenance section.
- Incorrect time display: Reset the device using the 'Res' button and then set the current time and date manually.
- Load not switching: Check the wiring to the load (terminals 12, 15, 18) and ensure the load itself is functional. Verify the output capacity (16A 250V AC) is not exceeded.
10. User Tips
- Plan Your Programs: Before programming, write down your desired ON/OFF and pulse schedules to make the setup process smoother.
- Test Programs: After setting up new programs, observe the device for a short period to ensure they execute as expected.
- Backup Battery Life: The internal battery typically lasts several years. Consider replacing it proactively every 3-5 years to prevent loss of settings during power outages.
- Dustproof Cover: The device comes with a dustproof cover. Ensure it is properly closed after programming to protect the buttons and display from environmental elements.
