4.2 Battery Installation
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
- Insert the provided 18650 battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
- Screw the tail cap back on securely.
4.3 Charging the Battery
The flashlight features a convenient Type-C USB charging port. To charge:
- Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the flashlight (usually protected by a rubber cover).
- Open the rubber cover.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the flashlight's Type-C port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., mobile phone charger, computer, power bank, car charger, notebook USB port).
- The charging indicator light will show the charging status (refer to the flashlight's specific indicator behavior, typically red for charging, green for full).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and close the rubber cover to protect the port from dust and moisture.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On/Off
Press the power button located on the side of the flashlight to turn it on. Press again to turn it off. This model operates in a single high-light mode.
5.2 Zoom Function
To adjust the beam focus, slide the head of the flashlight forward or backward. Sliding it forward will zoom in for a concentrated beam, while sliding it backward will zoom out for a wider floodlight effect.

5.3 Wavelength Specific Applications
The effectiveness of the UV flashlight depends on its wavelength and the intended application:
- 365nm UV Flashlight:
This wavelength is ideal for high-demand detection tasks. It is less visible to the naked eye than 395nm light, making it more effective for:
- Detecting fluorescent agents in cosmetics, clothing, or other materials.
- Authenticating security codes on documents, currency, licenses, and cards.
- Identifying oil stains, leakage, and certain types of ores.
- UV glue curing.
- 395nm UV Flashlight:
This wavelength is brighter and more suitable for general detection and cleaning tasks, such as:
- Detecting pet (dog/cat) urine stains and rodent stains.
- Finding scorpions.
- Identifying bed bugs.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the lens clean for optimal performance.
- Battery Care:
- Charge the battery fully before first use.
- Recharge the battery when the light output becomes dim.
- If storing the flashlight for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage and damage.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- General Care: Avoid dropping the flashlight or subjecting it to strong impacts. Keep it away from extreme temperatures and corrosive materials.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Flashlight does not turn on. | Battery is dead or incorrectly installed. | Charge the battery or re-install it with the correct polarity. Ensure the tail cap is fully tightened. |
| Light is dim or flickers. | Low battery charge. Loose connections. | Recharge the battery. Ensure the tail cap and head are securely tightened. |
| Charging does not work. | Faulty cable or power source. Charging port obstruction. | Try a different USB cable and power source. Check the Type-C port for debris. |
| Zoom function is stiff. | Dirt or debris in the sliding mechanism. | Clean the exterior of the flashlight, especially around the zoom mechanism. Avoid forcing it. |
8. User Tips
- Optimal Detection: For best results, use the UV flashlight in a dark environment. While 365nm can be used in natural light, darkness enhances the visibility of fluorescent materials.
- Wavelength Choice: Remember that 365nm UV light is less visible but more effective for specific, high-precision detections (like security features and certain fluorescent dyes), while 395nm is brighter and better for general-purpose tasks like finding pet stains or scorpions.
- Safety: Avoid direct eye exposure to UV light. While this is a low-power device, prolonged exposure can be harmful.
- Portability: Utilize the detachable clip for convenient pocket carry or attaching to a backpack for easy access.
