Battery Installation
- Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
- Insert the provided 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight.
- Securely screw the tail cap back on.
Charging the Flashlight
The P5UV features a convenient Micro USB direct charging port:
- Locate the charging port on the flashlight body, usually protected by a rubber cover.
- Gently pull out the charge cap to expose the Micro USB port.
- Connect the provided USB charging cable to the flashlight and a suitable USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
- The charging indicator light will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Once charging is complete, disconnect the cable and firmly close the charge cap to maintain water resistance.
Operation
Power On/Off and Mode Switching
The P5UV utilizes a DUO Switch for intuitive control:
- Momentary On: Lightly press the tail switch for momentary illumination. Release to turn off.
- Constant On: Fully press the tail switch until it clicks to turn the flashlight on constantly. Press again to turn off.
- Mode Cycling: With the flashlight on (constant or momentary), lightly tap the tail switch to cycle through the white light modes: High → Low → Strobe → S.O.S.
Switching Between White and UV Light
The P5UV features a unique 360° rotational switch for changing between white and UV light:
- Rotate the head of the flashlight 360 degrees to switch between the white light and UV light sources. The flashlight will click into position for each light type.
