2. Safety Information

2.1 General Safety Precautions

  • Do not immerse the battery in water or allow it to get wet.
  • Do not use or store the battery where it is exposed to extremely high temperatures.
  • Do not use the battery in strong electrostatic or magnetic fields, as this may compromise battery safety.
  • Ensure correct polarity: Do not reverse the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
  • Charge the battery only with a specified charger according to the charging requirements.
  • Keep out of reach of children. In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.

5. Setup Instructions

5.1 Package Contents

Before installation, verify that all components are present:

  • Tewaycell Powerwall LiFePO4 Battery Pack (20KWh or 30KWh)
  • Fit screws for installation
  • Parallel Power Cable (if applicable for multi-unit setup)
  • Inverter Cable for RS485/CAN/RS232 communication

5.2 System Application Diagram

5.3 Powerwall Connection Schematic

The battery system connects to a power inverter, which can draw power from solar panels, the utility grid, or a generator. The inverter then supplies power to your home and can be monitored via a Cube WiFi/4G module, internet, and the PVguarder APP/Web interface.

5.4 Parallel Connections

The Tewaycell Powerwall supports parallel connections for increased capacity and output. Up to 16 units can be connected in parallel. Ensure proper wiring and use the provided parallel power cables.

5.5 Multi-Battery and Inverter Setup Example

For larger systems, multiple batteries can be connected to multiple inverters via an air switch, ensuring balanced load distribution. Ensure all cables, especially those supporting high currents, are appropriately rated.

6. Operating Instructions

  • Environmental Conditions: Operate and store the battery within the specified temperature ranges (Charge: 0℃~55℃, Discharge: -20℃~60℃). Avoid extreme heat or cold.
  • Cleanliness: Keep the battery unit clean and free from dust and debris. The IP55 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, but direct immersion should be avoided.
  • Connections: Periodically check all cable connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Active Balancer: The built-in active balancer helps maintain cell voltage consistency, extending the battery's lifespan. No user intervention is typically required for this feature.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your Tewaycell Powerwall battery, please refer to the following common concerns:

  • Inverter Compatibility: Ensure your inverter is compatible with the battery's communication protocols (CAN, RS485). A list of compatible brands is provided in the specifications. If your inverter is not listed, or if you are using a Huawei inverter, specific BMS configurations or additional components might be required.
  • Connection Issues: Double-check all wiring connections between the battery, inverter, and other system components. Incorrect polarity or loose connections can prevent proper operation.
