3. Product Overview
The EAFC Smart Car Battery Charger features a robust design with a large digital display for easy monitoring and intuitive controls. It incorporates microprocessor control for efficient and safe charging.
3.1 Components
- Charger Unit with integrated handle
- AC Power Cord (Input cable length: approx. 110cm)
- Battery Clamps (Red for positive, Black for negative) (Output cable length: approx. 85cm)

3.2 Display and Controls
The large digital display provides real-time information on battery voltage, charging current, ambient temperature, and battery power level. A single 'MODE' button allows selection of charging modes.

3.3 Design Features
- Foldable Handle: The top portable handle and bottom bracket can be folded for easy carrying and storage.
- Portable Storage: The unique design on the back allows for wrapping and storing power cords, and clips on both sides for convenient storage of battery clamps.

4. Setup
Before connecting the charger, ensure the battery parameters match the charger's capabilities.
4.1 Connecting to a 12V Battery
- Plug the AC power cord into a household 220V power supply.
- Select the appropriate charging mode using the 'MODE' button.
- Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
- Connect the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
- The charger will automatically begin charging.
4.2 Connecting to a 24V Battery
- Connect two 12V batteries in series to achieve 24V.

Important:
- If the positive and negative poles are connected incorrectly or abnormally, the screen will flash "reverseconnection" and display "El-I-". Correct the connection before proceeding.
- Ensure the battery parameters match the charger's specifications before connecting.
5. Operating Instructions
Once connected and powered, the charger will automatically detect the battery and begin the charging process. The display will cycle through battery voltage, current, and ambient temperature.
5.1 Charging Modes
Use the 'MODE' button to select the appropriate charging mode for your battery type:
| Mode Icon | Mode Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
![]() | CAR/TRUCK | For large batteries (Fast Charge). Max current: 12V @ 8A, 24V @ 4A. |
![]() | AGM | Specifically for AGM and Calcium batteries. |
![]() | MOTORCYCLE | For small batteries (Slow Charge). Max current: 1.5A. |
![]() | REPAIR | An advanced 18-hour battery recovery mode for old, idle, damaged, stratified, or sulfated batteries. Note: Not all batteries can be recovered. |

5.2 Winter and Summer Charging
The charger automatically detects the ambient temperature and adjusts the charging voltage accordingly. This ensures optimal charging in both cold winter conditions (increased voltage to compensate for internal resistance) and hot summer conditions (lowered voltage to prevent overcharging).

5.3 Completing the Charge
Once charging is complete, the battery power bar on the screen will show 100% and display "FUL". It is recommended to continue trickle charging for approximately 1 hour for optimal results.
To disconnect: First, unplug the AC power cord from the wall outlet. Then, remove the positive (red) and negative (black) battery clamps. The charger is now ready for storage or next use.
6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your EAFC battery charger.
- Keep the charger clean and dry. Protect it from rain and direct sunlight.
- Do not cover the charger during operation to ensure proper ventilation.
- Store the charger and its components in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames and flammable materials.
- Regularly inspect the charger, plugs, and power cords for any signs of damage, cracks, or abnormalities. If any issues are found, discontinue use and contact support.

7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your EAFC battery charger.
7.1 Error Codes
- "El-I-" Display: This error code indicates a reverse connection of the battery clamps (positive and negative poles are connected incorrectly) or an abnormal connection. Immediately disconnect the charger and correct the connections before restarting.
7.2 Common Issues
- Charger not starting: Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet and the battery clamps are correctly connected to the battery terminals.
- Battery not recovering in Repair Mode: The 'REPAIR' mode is an advanced recovery function, but it's important to note that not all deeply discharged, damaged, or sulfated batteries can be fully recovered.
- Charger overheating: While the charger has overheat protection and an intelligent cooling fan, ensure it is used in a well-ventilated area and not covered during operation.
If you encounter any persistent issues not covered here, please refer to the Warranty and Support section for assistance.
