6. Setup and Configuration
6.1. Powering the Lock
The lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries. Insert them into the battery compartment on the back panel. The lock will emit a sound or light indicator upon successful power-up.
6.2. TTLock APP Setup
- Download the App: Search for "TTLock" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
- Create Account: Open the TTLock app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
- Add Lock: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the lock is powered on. In the app, tap "Add Lock" and select "Cabinet Lock". The app will scan for nearby locks.
- Pairing: Select your lock from the list. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair the lock. You may need to touch the keypad or fingerprint sensor on the lock to activate it for pairing.
- Set Admin: The first user to pair the lock becomes the administrator. The administrator has full control over all lock settings and user management.
6.3. Configuring Unlocking Methods
The lock supports 7 unlocking ways:
- Fingerprint Enrollment (up to 51 pcs):
- In the TTLock app, navigate to 'Fingerprints'.
- Tap 'Add Fingerprint' and follow the on-screen instructions to register your fingerprint by repeatedly placing your finger on the sensor until enrollment is complete.
- Password Setup (up to 200 groups):
- In the TTLock app, navigate to 'Passcodes'.
- You can generate various types of passcodes (e.g., permanent, timed, one-time, cyclic).
- Anti-peeping Virtual Password: When entering your password on the keypad, you can input any random digits before or after your actual password to prevent others from guessing it. For example, if your password is '123456', you can enter '987123456098' and the lock will still recognize '123456'.
- IC Card Management (13.56KHZ):
- In the TTLock app, navigate to 'Cards'.
- Tap 'Add Card' and follow the instructions to register your IC card by tapping it on the designated area of the lock's front panel.
- eKey Management: The app allows you to send eKeys to other users, granting them temporary or permanent access to the lock via their own TTLock app.
7. Operating Instructions
7.1. Unlocking the Lock
- Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint reader. The lock will unlock if the fingerprint is recognized.
- Password Unlock: Enter your password on the touch keypad, optionally using virtual digits before or after, then press the '#' key (or equivalent confirmation key).
- IC Card Unlock: Tap your registered IC card on the card reader area of the front panel.
- APP Unlock: Open the TTLock app, ensure Bluetooth is connected, and tap the 'Touch to Unlock' icon on the main screen.
7.2. Locking the Lock
The lock typically locks automatically after a few seconds of being unlocked. You can also manually lock it via the TTLock app if needed.
7.3. Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries are completely drained and the lock cannot be opened, you can use an external power source (e.g., a power bank) connected to the Emergency Charging Port on the front panel to temporarily power the lock and unlock it. This port is usually a Micro-USB or Type-C port.
8. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace all 4 AAA alkaline batteries when the low voltage alarm sounds (at 4.8V) or when the lock indicates low power. Do not wait for the batteries to completely drain to avoid being locked out.
- Cleaning: Wipe the lock's surface, especially the fingerprint sensor and keypad, with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check the physical condition of the lock and latch for any signs of wear or damage.
9. Troubleshooting
- Lock is unresponsive:
- Check if the batteries are drained. Replace them with new AAA alkaline batteries.
- If batteries are dead, use the Emergency Charging Port with a power bank to temporarily power the lock.
- Fingerprint not recognized:
- Ensure your finger is clean and dry.
- Try re-enrolling your fingerprint in the TTLock app.
- Clean the fingerprint sensor with a soft cloth.
- Password not working:
- Ensure you are entering the correct password.
- Remember to press the confirmation key (e.g., '#') after entering the password.
- If using the virtual password feature, ensure the correct sequence is embedded.
- TTLock App cannot connect to the lock:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Make sure you are within Bluetooth range of the lock.
- Restart the TTLock app and try again.
- Check if the lock's batteries are low.
- What part is magnetic?
- The product title mentions a "Magnetic Sensor." This typically refers to an internal sensor that detects the open/closed status of the door, rather than a visible magnetic component for installation or operation. The primary unlocking methods are fingerprint, password, IC card, and APP.
10. User Tips
- For optimal battery life (over 1 year), use high-quality alkaline batteries.
- Take advantage of the virtual password feature to enhance security when unlocking via keypad in public or visible areas.
- Regularly check the TTLock app for firmware updates to ensure the best performance and security features.
- Consider using the timed access features in the TTLock app for granting temporary access to guests or service personnel.
