4.3. Connecting to a Zigbee Gateway
This sensor operates using the Zigbee 3.0 wireless protocol and requires a compatible Zigbee smart gateway (hub) to function. Ensure your gateway is powered on and in pairing mode. Refer to your gateway's manual for specific pairing instructions.
4.4. App Integration
Download the "Smart Life" or "Doodle Smart" application from your mobile device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to add the sensor to your smart home system. This typically involves selecting to add a new device and following the pairing prompts.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Motion Detection
The sensor features a high-sensitivity infrared detection detector with a sensing range of up to 10 meters and a wide detection angle of ≥ 135°. It is designed to quickly detect human movement, minimizing delays and omissions. The hemispherical design contributes to its super wide-angle detection capability.

5.2. Light Sensing
In addition to motion, the sensor can detect ambient light levels in its environment. This feature allows for more intelligent automation scenarios, such as adjusting lighting based on both presence and natural light conditions.
5.3. Intelligent Linkage and Automation
The sensor supports intelligent linkage with other Zigbee smart products within your home automation system. Through the Smart Life/Doodle Smart app, you can set up custom automation rules based on motion detection and/or light levels. Examples include:
- Automatically turning off lights when no motion is detected for a set period.
- Triggering security alarms or notifications upon unauthorized movement.
- Activating smart lighting to "wake up at night" when motion is detected in a dark room.

5.4. Mobile Notifications
When motion is detected, the sensor will push alarm messages to your mobile phone via the Smart Life/Doodle Smart app. This allows you to monitor the situation in real-time, even when you are away from home.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Battery Replacement
The sensor uses a CR2450 button battery, which provides a standby time of approximately 12 months. When the battery is low, you may receive a notification via the app. Replace the battery using the rear lid opener tool.
6.2. Cleaning
To ensure optimal performance, periodically wipe the sensor's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the device.
7. Troubleshooting
- Sensor not detecting motion: Ensure the sensor is placed within its effective range (up to 10m) and angle (≥ 135°). Check battery level. Verify the sensor is properly paired with the Zigbee gateway.
- False alarms: The sensor incorporates airflow suppression technology to reduce false alarms. However, ensure it is not placed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with significant air currents (e.g., near vents, open windows) that could trigger it.
- No app notifications: Check your mobile device's notification settings for the Smart Life/Doodle Smart app. Ensure the sensor is connected to the Zigbee gateway and has a stable network connection.
- Cannot connect to gateway: Ensure your Zigbee gateway is powered on and in pairing mode. Try resetting the sensor (refer to the product manual for specific reset instructions, if any) and attempting to pair again.
8. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best motion detection, place the sensor where movement is most likely to occur across its field of view, rather than directly towards it.
- Gateway Proximity: While the wireless distance is ≥ 100m in open areas, placing the sensor closer to your Zigbee gateway can improve signal reliability, especially in homes with many walls or interference.
- Battery Life: To maximize battery life, consider adjusting the detection sensitivity or reporting frequency settings within the app, if available.
9. Warranty and Support
For detailed warranty information and technical support, please refer to the official product manual included in your package. You may also find additional resources and support by contacting the seller or visiting the product support page on the manufacturer's website.
