1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your MD29 Mini HD Body Camera. This compact device offers 1080P high-definition video recording, infrared night vision, and a PIR motion sensor, making it suitable for various recording needs.

4. Setup

4.1. Insert TF Card

The camera supports MicroSD / TF cards from 4GB up to 128GB. Ensure the card is inserted correctly into the TF Card Slot before use.

4.2. Charging the Battery

Connect the camera to a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter) using the provided USB cable. The indicator light will illuminate to show that the camera is charging. A full charge provides approximately 8 hours of continuous recording.

4.3. Mounting the Camera

The MD29 camera comes with a versatile base and a back clip for various mounting options:

  • Base: Attach the camera to the adjustable base. This allows for 180° and 360° angle adjustments, providing flexibility for positioning.
  • Back Clip: Use the back clip to securely attach the camera to clothing, bags, or other surfaces for portable recording.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

Locate the power switch on the side of the camera. Slide the switch to the 'On' position to power on the device. Slide it to 'Off' to power down.

5.2. Video Recording

Once powered on, slide the video switch to the 'Normal Video' mode. The camera will begin recording, indicated by the status light. The camera supports Full HD (1920x1080) resolution at 30 frames per second.

5.3. PIR Motion Sensor Recording

To enable motion-activated recording, activate the PIR sensor. The camera will enter a low-power standby mode and automatically start recording when motion is detected within its field of view. This feature allows for extended standby times, up to 90 days.

5.4. Night Vision

The MD29 camera is equipped with automatic infrared (IR) night vision. It will automatically adjust to low-light conditions, providing clear video recording even in the dark.

5.5. Loop Recording

The camera supports cyclic covering (loop recording). When the memory card is full, the oldest video files will be automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings.

5.6. Time Synchronization

The camera supports revising time synchronization. Please refer to the detailed instructions in the included paper manual for specific steps on how to set the correct time.

6. Maintenance

  • Keep the camera clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the camera to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or high humidity.
  • Ensure the lens is free from smudges or dust for optimal video quality.
  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its lifespan and performance.
  • Store the camera in a cool, dry place when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Connect the camera to a power source using the USB cable and try again.
  • Recording issues (e.g., no recording, corrupted files):
    • Check if the TF card is inserted correctly and securely.
    • Verify that the TF card has sufficient free space.
    • If issues persist, try formatting the TF card (this will erase all data).
  • Poor video quality:
    • Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
    • Check the lighting conditions; while night vision is automatic, extreme darkness or bright glare can affect quality.
  • Short battery life: Ensure the camera is fully charged before use. Battery performance can degrade over time or in very cold conditions.
