Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your RUIZU Z80 player. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the device and a 5V/1A power adapter (not included). A full charge typically takes approximately 3.5 hours.

2. Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually on the side) until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' from the options on the screen.

3. Connecting Headphones

Insert the 3.5mm jack of your wired earphones into the headphone port on the device. The player supports both three-pole and four-pole earphones.

4. Connecting to Wi-Fi

The RUIZU Z80 supports Wi-Fi connectivity for online features and app downloads.

  1. From the home screen, navigate to 'Settings'.
  2. Select 'Network & Internet' or 'Wi-Fi'.
  3. Toggle Wi-Fi 'On'.
  4. Select your desired Wi-Fi network from the list.
  5. Enter the password if prompted and tap 'Connect'.

5. Bluetooth Pairing

The device features Bluetooth 4.2 for connecting to wireless headphones or speakers.

  1. Ensure your Bluetooth accessory is in pairing mode.
  2. On the RUIZU Z80, go to 'Settings' > 'Connected devices' > 'Bluetooth'.
  3. Toggle Bluetooth 'On'.
  4. The player will scan for available devices. Select your accessory from the list to pair.

Important Notes on Bluetooth:

  • The Bluetooth version is 4.2. It may not support earphones/speakers with Bluetooth version 5.0 or above.
  • The Bluetooth function of the MP3 player CANNOT pair with computers.
  • The Bluetooth function CANNOT be used for FM Radio.

6. Transferring Files

Connect the RUIZU Z80 to your computer using the provided USB Type-C cable. The device will appear as a removable storage device, allowing you to drag and drop music, videos, and other files.

7. TF Card Expansion

The device supports TF card expansion from 1GB up to 32GB for additional storage. Insert the TF card into the designated slot.

Operating Instructions

1. Navigation

The RUIZU Z80 features a 4.0-inch full touch screen for intuitive navigation. Swipe, tap, and pinch to interact with the interface, similar to a smartphone.

2. App Usage and Downloads

As an Android device, the RUIZU Z80 allows you to download and use various applications. Connect to Wi-Fi and access the pre-installed App Market to find and install apps like Spotify, games, social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter), online novels, and more.

3. Music Playback

The player supports a wide range of audio formats including FLAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, DRM, OGG, APE, and FLAV, ACC, delivering HiFi sound quality. Use the music player app to browse your library, create playlists, and control playback.

4. Video Playback

Enjoy 1080P video playback on the 4.0-inch IPS high-definition display. The device supports all video formats such as RMVB, MP4, AVI, RM, and MPG without the need for decoding.

Troubleshooting

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

  • Cannot pair with computer: The RUIZU Z80's Bluetooth is designed for audio output to headphones/speakers, not for connecting to computers.
  • Cannot pair with new headphones/speakers: Ensure your accessory is Bluetooth 4.2 compatible or older. Newer Bluetooth 5.0+ devices may not be supported.
  • FM Radio not working with Bluetooth: The Bluetooth function does not support FM Radio. Use wired earphones for FM radio functionality.

General Performance Issues

  • Device freezing or slow performance: Try restarting the device. If the issue persists, consider performing a factory reset (note: this will erase all data).
  • App download issues: Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection and sufficient storage space.

User Tips

  • Android Version: The RUIZU Z80 is advertised with Android 8.1. If you receive a device with a different Android version, please contact customer support for clarification.
  • Audio Quality: While the device supports HiFi sound, the term 'LDAP' (Bluetooth High Fidelity Codec) mentioned in some queries is not a standard audio codec. The device supports various high-quality audio formats like FLAC, APE, and WAV for excellent sound.
