Remote Control and Boat Pairing Instructions
After replacing any circuit board components, the remote control and the boat's receiving board must be paired to establish communication. Follow these steps:
- Place the boat in a horizontal position.
- Connect the boat battery and install the remote battery.
- Frequency Matching: Press and hold the "pairing" button (1) on the remote control without releasing it. Then, turn on the boat. Next, turn on the switch on the remote control (2). When the remote control makes a "beep" sound, the green indicator light will turn on, indicating that the remote control and the boat have been connected.
- Calibration: Press the "down" button (3), and the boat light will start flashing. Once the boat light stops flashing, the boat is ready to use.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your circuit boards and GPS module, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep Dry: Always ensure electronic components are kept dry. Moisture can cause short circuits and damage.
- Cleanliness: Regularly inspect and gently clean the circuit boards and connectors to remove any dirt, dust, or debris. Use a soft, dry brush or compressed air.
- Avoid Static: When handling circuit boards, take precautions to avoid static discharge, which can damage sensitive electronic components.
- Secure Connections: Periodically check all wire connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
- Proper Storage: Store spare parts in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Flytec bait boat after installing new circuit board components, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Power to Boat/Remote:
- Ensure batteries are fully charged and correctly installed in both the boat and the remote control.
- Check all power connections on the circuit board for secure fitment.
- Remote Control Not Connecting/Pairing:
- Re-attempt the pairing procedure as described in the "Setup and Installation" section.
- Ensure both the boat and remote control are powered on during the pairing process.
- Verify that the antenna on the remote control and boat is securely attached.
- Limited Control Range:
- Check the antenna connection on both the boat's receiving board and the remote control's transmitting board. A loose or damaged antenna can significantly reduce range.
- Ensure there are no major obstructions between the remote control and the boat.
- Boat Not Responding Correctly:
- Perform the calibration step after successful pairing.
- Inspect all motor, servo, and light connections on the boat circuit board.
User Tips
- Check Connectors: Before final assembly, always double-check that all cables and connectors are properly seated and secured on the circuit boards. Loose connections are a common cause of operational issues.
- Battery Compatibility: While the battery compartment is large, ensure the voltage and connector type of your battery are compatible with the circuit board to prevent damage.
- Environmental Awareness: Be mindful of the environment when operating your bait boat. Avoid areas with excessive aquatic vegetation or debris that could interfere with the propellers or signal.
