6. Installation
Before starting, identify your door type and the corresponding lock/bracket configuration from Section 3. Ensure you have all necessary tools and components.
6.1 General Wiring Diagram
The following diagram illustrates the general wiring connections between the Access Controller, Power Supply, Exit Button, and Power Locks. Refer to this diagram carefully for all electrical connections.

Figure 4: General Wiring Diagram for Access Control System.
6.2 Component Placement
- Access Controller: Mount the access controller at a convenient height near the door, typically on the exterior side. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Power Supply: Install the power supply unit in a dry, secure location, preferably indoors and close to a power outlet.
- Door Exit Button: Mount the exit button on the interior side of the door, allowing for easy egress.
- Lock: Install the chosen lock type (Electric Strike, Drop Bolt, or Magnetic Lock) according to its specific instructions and your door type. Ensure proper alignment for secure locking.
6.3 Specific Lock Installation Notes
- Electric Strike Lock (Kit3): Suitable for wooden and metal doors. No additional bracket is typically needed. Ensure the strike plate aligns perfectly with your existing door latch.
- Electric Drop Bolt Lock (Kit4): Suitable for wooden, metal, and stainless steel doors. No additional bracket is typically needed. Install the lock body into the door frame and the strike plate on the door.
- 180KG Magnetic Lock (Kit5): Suitable for wooden, metal, and glass frame doors. No additional bracket is typically needed. Mount the magnetic lock body to the door frame and the armature plate to the door.
- 180KG Magnetic Lock with U Bracket (Kit6): Specifically for frameless glass doors. The U bracket secures the armature plate to the glass door without drilling.
- 180KG Magnetic Lock with L Bracket (Kit7): For wooden or metal doors where the magnetic lock needs to be mounted at an angle to accommodate the door's flushness or small gap to the frame.
- 180KG Magnetic Lock with ZL Bracket (Kit8): Used when the door opens inwards. The ZL bracket configuration allows the magnetic lock to be mounted on the inside of the door frame and the armature plate on the door.
- Embedded 180KG Electric Magnetic Lock (Kit9): Designed for concealed installation within the door frame and door, providing a cleaner aesthetic.
6.4 Power Supply Time Delay Adjustment
The power supply unit includes a time delay adjustment knob (labeled 'TIME' or similar) that allows you to set the duration the door remains unlocked after a successful access event. This can be adjusted from 0 to 15 seconds. Use a small screwdriver to turn the knob to your desired delay setting.

Figure 5: Power Supply showing the time delay adjustment knob.
7. Operation
7.1 Unlock Modes
The access controller supports three primary methods for unlocking the door:
- RFID Card: Present a registered RFID keyfob or card to the card reading area on the access controller.
- Password: Enter a registered password on the touch keypad.
- RFID Card + Password: For enhanced security, present a registered RFID card and then enter the corresponding password.

Figure 6: Access Controller demonstrating RFID Card, Password, and Card + Password unlock modes.
7.2 Programming (Adding/Deleting Users)
The access controller allows for programming of user cards and passwords. Detailed programming instructions are typically provided in a separate programming manual or quick start guide. Generally, this involves entering a master code, selecting an action (add user, delete user), and then presenting the card or entering the password. The system supports up to 3000 users.
A management card can be set up to simplify the process of adding and deleting user cards without needing to enter the master code each time.
8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the access controller's keypad and surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Connection Check: Periodically inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion or damage.
- Lock Functionality: Test the lock mechanism regularly to ensure smooth operation. Lubricate moving parts of mechanical locks if necessary.
- Power Supply: Ensure the power supply unit is well-ventilated and free from dust accumulation.
9. Troubleshooting
- System Not Powering On: Check all power connections, ensure the power supply is receiving input voltage, and verify the output voltage (DC12V).
- Door Not Unlocking: Verify that the access controller is powered, the lock is receiving power, and all wiring between the controller, power supply, and lock is correct. Ensure the RFID card or password is correctly programmed.
- RFID Card Not Detected: Ensure the card is presented correctly to the card reading area. Verify the card is registered in the system.
- Keypad Not Responding: Check for any physical damage to the keypad. If the backlight is off, check power to the controller.
- Doorbell Not Functioning: Check the wiring connection for the wired doorbell to the access controller.
- Difficulty with Programming: Refer to the specific programming manual for detailed steps. Ensure you are in programming mode and using the correct master code.
10. User Tips
- Careful Wiring: Pay close attention to the wiring diagram (Figure 4) during installation. Incorrect wiring is a common cause of system malfunction.
- Programming Manual: Keep the programming manual handy for reference when adding or deleting users, as the process can be specific.
- Door Type Selection: When purchasing, ensure you select the kit that matches your door type (e.g., frameless glass, inward-opening) to ensure you receive the correct lock and brackets.
- Test Thoroughly: After installation and programming, thoroughly test all unlock methods and the exit button to confirm proper operation before relying on the system for security.
