3.2 Controls and Display

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Align the battery pack with the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the battery into place until it clicks securely.

4.2 Antenna Attachment

  1. Screw the antenna clockwise onto the connector on top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

4.3 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the battery.

  1. Connect the Type-C USB charging cable to the charging port on the back of the radio.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the charging head (adapter).
  3. Plug the charging head into a standard power outlet.
  4. The charging indicator light will typically be red while charging and turn green when fully charged.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Volume

Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to turn the radio on. Continue rotating to increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn off the radio.

5.2 Channel Mode vs. Frequency Mode

The radio supports both Channel Mode (pre-programmed channels) and Frequency Mode (direct frequency input). Switch between modes via the menu or a dedicated button if available.

5.3 PTT (Push-to-Talk) Operation

To transmit, press and hold the PTT button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to return to receive mode.

5.4 VOX Function (Voice Operated Transmit)

The VOX function allows for hands-free transmission. When enabled, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice. Adjust VOX sensitivity in the Radio Settings menu.
