Ceiling Installation:
Smoke, heat, and combustion products typically spread laterally when they rise to the ceiling. Therefore, installing the smoke detector on the ceiling is the preferred location for early detection.
- Maintain a distance of at least 30cm from lamps or decorative objects.
- Ensure it is at least 15cm away from walls and corners.
- If a hall exceeds 12 meters in length, install detectors at both ends.
Inclined Ceiling Installation:
If your ceiling is sloped, install the detector along the ceiling, maintaining a distance of 90cm from the horizontal direction at the highest point.
6. Setup and Pairing
Follow these steps to set up and pair your smoke detector with the Smart Life/Tuya app:
6.1. Battery Installation:
- Gently open the battery compartment cover on the back of the detector.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely. The indicator light will turn ON briefly and then OFF.
6.2. App Download and Gateway Setup:
- Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app from your device's app store (Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS). You can also scan the QR code provided in the manual or product images.
