This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new device.

The RUIZU X02 features a user-friendly interface with physical buttons for easy navigation and control.

5. Initial Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge your RUIZU X02 MP3 player.

  • Connect the device to a power source using the provided USB cable.
  • The charging indicator (red light) will be on during charging.
  • Charging typically takes approximately 1.5 hours. The red light will turn off once fully charged.

5.2 Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power button.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the device shuts down.

5.3 Inserting a Micro SD (TF) Card

The device has 8GB of built-in storage and supports expandable memory via a Micro SD (TF) card up to 128GB.

  • Locate the TF card slot on the side of the player.
  • Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.
  • To remove, push the card gently until it pops out.

5.4 Language Selection

The device supports approximately 28 languages. You can change the language in the settings menu.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Navigation

Use the physical buttons (M, Play/Pause, Skip, VOL) to navigate through menus and control playback.

6.2 Music Playback

  • Navigate to the 'Music' option from the main menu.
  • Select your desired audio file (MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, FLAC, etc.).
  • Press the Play/Pause button to start or pause playback.
  • Use the Skip buttons (<< / >>) to go to the previous or next track.
  • Adjust volume using the VOL button.

6.3 Bluetooth Connection

  • Go to the 'Bluetooth' menu from the main screen.
  • Turn on Bluetooth. The device will scan for available Bluetooth devices.
  • Select your Bluetooth headphones or speaker from the list to pair.
  • Once paired, the device will automatically connect to the last paired device upon power-on.

6.4 FM Radio

The RUIZU X02 features a built-in FM tuner (87.5MHz-108MHz) and supports FM recording.

  • Plug in wired earphones; they act as the FM antenna.
  • Navigate to the 'FM Radio' option.
  • Use the navigation buttons to scan for stations or manually tune.

6.5 E-book Reading

  • Select 'E-book' from the main menu.
  • Open TXT format files for reading.

6.6 Voice Recorder

  • Go to the 'Record' function.
  • Start recording in WAV or MP3 format.

6.7 Photo Viewer

  • Access 'Photo Viewer' from the menu.
  • View JPG and BMP image files.

6.8 Screen Lock/Unlock

  • To lock the screen, click the '<<' button and the 'M' button simultaneously.
  • Repeat the action to unlock the screen.

6.9 Resume Playing Where Left Off

  • To resume playback from where you left off, hold the center circle button to turn off the device instead of using the physical power button.

6.10 Saving Volume Settings

  • On the volume icon interface, hold the 'VOL' button for 3 seconds.
  • Press 'M' to increase volume or 'VOL' to decrease volume.
  • Hold the center button to turn off the device and save your adjusted volume settings.

7. Maintenance

  • Keep the device dry. Avoid exposure to moisture, rain, or liquids.

  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
  • Handle the device gently to prevent physical damage.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Device Not Turning On

  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a charger for at least 15 minutes.
  • Press and hold the Power button for several seconds.

8.2 No Sound

  • Check the volume level.
  • Ensure earphones are properly connected or Bluetooth headphones are paired and connected.
  • Test with different earphones or Bluetooth devices.

8.3 Bluetooth Connection Issues

  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the MP3 player and the target device.
  • Make sure the devices are within range (typically 10 meters).
  • Unpair and re-pair the devices.

8.4 FM Radio Not Working

  • Ensure wired earphones are plugged in, as they function as the antenna for FM reception.
  • Try scanning for stations again in a different location.

8.5 Low Battery Warning

If the battery level drops below 3.3V, the device may display a low battery warning or shut down automatically. Please charge the device promptly.

9. User Tips

  • Bluetooth Auto-Connect: The player is designed to automatically attempt to reconnect to the last paired Bluetooth device upon power-on, simplifying your listening experience.
  • FM Radio Antenna: For optimal FM radio reception, always ensure wired earphones are connected to the player, as they serve as the necessary antenna.
