1. Package Contents

Ensure all components are present:

Connect your headset or lapel microphone to the 3-pin mini XLR jack on the top of the bodypack. Ensure the connector is fully inserted and locked into place.

5. Pairing with a Receiver (IR Sync)

The PWB-12 bodypack transmitter uses IR sync for quick and easy pairing with compatible Phenyx Pro PTU-1U or PTU-2U receivers. Refer to your receiver's manual for specific IR sync instructions. Generally, this involves:

  1. Power on both the receiver and the bodypack transmitter.
  2. On the receiver, activate the IR sync function.
  3. Align the IR window of the bodypack transmitter with the IR sensor on the receiver.
  4. The devices will automatically synchronize frequency channels. Confirm successful pairing on the receiver's display.

2. Channel Selection and Tuning

The PWB-12 operates within the 530-580 MHz UHF frequency range with tunable channels. After IR sync, the channel will be set automatically. If manual adjustment is needed (e.g., to avoid interference), consult your receiver's manual for instructions on how to change channels and then re-sync the bodypack.

3. Mute Function

The bodypack transmitter features a mute function. A dedicated mute button or a short press of the power button (depending on the specific model's configuration) can toggle the microphone's audio output on and off without powering down the unit. Check the display for a mute indicator.

4. Monitoring Display Indicators

The bodypack's display provides essential information:

  • GRP/CHANNEL: Indicates the current group and channel frequency.
  • RF: Radio Frequency signal strength.
  • AF: Audio Frequency level.
  • Battery Indicator: Shows remaining battery life. Replace batteries when low to avoid interruptions.

5. Wearing the Bodypack

Utilize the sturdy metal clip on the back of the bodypack to attach it securely to clothing, a belt, or an instrument strap.
