The WELOCK WiFi Box serves as a central hub for your WELOCK smart door locks and other compatible smart devices. It enables remote control, temporary password generation, and integration with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, providing enhanced convenience and security for your home or office.
This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your WELOCK WiFi Box.

4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your WELOCK WiFi Box and connect it to your smart lock:
4.1. App Installation
Download the official WELOCK app from your smartphone's app store (available for Android and iPhone). Alternatively, a browser interface may be available.
4.2. Gateway Placement
Place the WELOCK WiFi Box in a central location, ensuring it is:
- Within 32.8 feet (10 meters) of your WELOCK smart door lock.
- Within range of your home's 2.4GHz WiFi network.

4.3. Power On
Connect the provided USB data cable to the WELOCK WiFi Box and plug the other end into a suitable power adapter (not always included) or USB port. The device will power on.
4.4. Pairing with the App and WiFi Configuration
- Reset the Gateway: Press the Reset button on the gateway for 3 seconds. The red light on the gateway will flash, then remain steadily on, indicating it is in configuration state.
- Add Gateway in App: Open the WELOCK app on your smartphone. Navigate to the 'Add Bluetooth Gateway' section. The app will search for available gateways. You may need to grant GPS permission for the Bluetooth search to function correctly.
- Select and Bind: Once the gateway name (e.g., WL000291) appears in the app, select it to bind.
- Configure WiFi: In the WiFi settings screen, enter your 2.4GHz WiFi network name and password.
- Confirm and Connect: Ensure the red light on the gateway is still on. Tap 'Settings' in the app to initiate the connection. The gateway will connect to your WiFi network, and the red light will turn green upon successful connection.

5. Operating Instructions
Once your WELOCK WiFi Box is successfully set up and connected, you can utilize its smart features:
5.1. Remote Unlocking
Use the WELOCK App on your smartphone to unlock your smart door lock from anywhere with an internet connection. This feature allows you to grant access even when you're not physically present.

5.2. Temporary Password Creation
Generate temporary passwords for guests, service providers, or family members directly through the WELOCK app. You can set time limits or single-use access for these passwords.

The WELOCK app allows you to view a detailed history of all unlocking events, providing an audit trail for your smart lock. This includes who unlocked the door and when.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your WELOCK WiFi Box, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the device in a dry environment and avoid exposure to moisture or liquids.
- Avoid placing the device in areas with extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).
- Clean the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the device to prevent overheating.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your WELOCK WiFi Box, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
7.1. Connectivity Issues
- Gateway not connecting to WiFi:
- Ensure your home WiFi network is 2.4GHz. The WELOCK WiFi Box does not support 5GHz networks.
- Verify that the WiFi name and password entered in the app are correct.
- Check if the gateway is within range of your WiFi router.
- Restart your WiFi router and the WELOCK WiFi Box, then attempt the setup process again.
- Smart lock not connecting to gateway:
- Ensure the gateway is placed within 32.8 feet (10 meters) of your smart lock.
- Check if the smart lock is powered on and in pairing mode (if applicable).
- Restart both the smart lock and the gateway.

7.2. App Issues
- App not detecting gateway:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Grant necessary permissions (e.g., GPS/Location) to the WELOCK app.
- Update the WELOCK app to the latest version.
8. User Tips
- For optimal performance, place the WiFi Box centrally between your router and smart lock, within the recommended 10-meter range.
- Regularly check for app updates to ensure you have the latest features and security enhancements.
- When setting up voice control, ensure your Alexa device is properly linked to your WELOCK account within the Alexa app.
