Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper use and to maximize the performance of your equipment.

Models Overview
Sunwayfoto offers a range of micro ball heads, each designed with specific features to meet diverse photographic needs. This manual covers the PMB-18 Inverted Ball Head, XB-25 Mini Ball Head, and XB-28II Ball Head.
- PMB-18 Inverted Ball Head: Compact and lightweight, featuring an inverted design for portability and a quick locking knob. Ideal for mobile phone shooting on table tripods.
- XB-25 Mini Ball Head: A versatile mini ball head with a low center of gravity for enhanced stability, a single notch design, and a 360° panning base.
- XB-28II Ball Head: A robust ball head with dual-panoramic capabilities, high locking strength, and an elongated lock-knob for easier operation.

Setup Instructions
- Attaching to a Tripod:
- For PMB-18: The PMB-18 features a Base 1/4" Thread Socket. Screw the ball head onto your tripod's 1/4"-20 mounting screw. Use the included hex wrench to tighten the set screws if necessary to secure the stainless steel stud.
- For XB-25 and XB-28II: These models typically feature a UNC 3/8" base screw hole. Screw the ball head onto your tripod's 3/8" mounting screw. Ensure it is firmly seated.

- Locate the QR plate (e.g., PT-26R for XB-25, PT-37 for XB-28II) and attach it to the bottom of your camera using the camera's 1/4"-20 tripod socket. Tighten the screw securely with a coin or the provided wrench.
- Mounting the Camera to the Ball Head:
- Ensure the clamp lock knob on the ball head is loosened.
- Align the QR plate on your camera with the clamp on the ball head.
- Slide the camera with the QR plate into the clamp until it is fully seated.
- Tighten the clamp lock knob firmly to secure your camera.

Operating Instructions
General Operation
Your Sunwayfoto ball head features multiple knobs for precise control:
- Main Lock Knob: This knob controls the movement of the ball and the base. Loosen it to adjust the camera's angle freely. Tighten it to lock the camera in position. (See Figure 7)
- Panning Base Lock Knob: This knob controls the 360° rotation of the panning base. Loosen it to allow the camera to rotate horizontally for panoramic shots. Tighten it to lock the panning movement. (See Figure 8)
- Clamp Lock Knob: This knob secures the quick release plate (and thus your camera) to the ball head. Ensure it is always tightened when the camera is mounted.

Specific Model Features
- PMB-18: Features a 90° drop notch for quick switching between horizontal and vertical shooting. The quick locking mechanism allows for a simple twist of the lever to lock the ball.
- XB-25: Equipped with a bubble level for precise leveling and a single notch design for versatile camera positioning. Its low center of gravity design enhances stability. (See Figure 9 & 10)
- XB-28II: Offers dual-panoramic ball head functionality, allowing for independent panning at both the base and the clamp. This model is known for its high locking strength. (See Figure 11)

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Sunwayfoto ball head, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe down the ball head after each use, especially if exposed to dust, sand, or moisture. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: When not in use, store the ball head in its velvet bag (if included, as with XB-25) or a protective case to prevent scratches and dust accumulation. Store in a dry, cool place.
- Lubrication: The internal mechanisms are factory-lubricated. Do not attempt to disassemble or lubricate the ball head yourself, as this may void the warranty and damage the unit.
- Inspection: Periodically check all knobs and screws for tightness. Ensure the quick release plate mechanism operates smoothly.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Sunwayfoto ball head, consider the following common solutions:
- Camera not stable/slipping: Ensure the main lock knob and clamp lock knob are fully tightened. Verify that the camera's quick release plate is securely attached to both the camera and the ball head. Check that the total weight of your camera and lens does not exceed the ball head's maximum load capacity.
- Difficulty in panning/tilting: Loosen the respective lock knobs (panning base lock knob for horizontal rotation, main lock knob for ball movement). If movement is still stiff, check for any debris or foreign objects obstructing the mechanism.
- Quick Release Plate stuck: Ensure the clamp lock knob is fully loosened. Gently wiggle the camera while attempting to remove it. Do not force it.

- Always check load capacity: Before mounting your camera and lens, ensure their combined weight does not exceed the maximum load capacity of your specific ball head model.
- Practice smooth panning: When performing panoramic shots, loosen the panning base lock knob just enough to allow smooth rotation without excessive play.
- Secure all connections: Double-check that the ball head is firmly attached to the tripod and the camera is securely mounted to the quick release plate before use.
- Utilize the bubble level: For perfectly level horizons, always refer to the integrated bubble level (available on some models like XB-25) during setup.
