Key Features:

2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully unpack the device and all accessories. Verify that all items listed in the 'Accessories' section (see Specifications) are present and undamaged. If any items are missing or damaged, contact your supplier immediately.

2.2 Charging the Battery

The device is equipped with a built-in lithium battery. Before initial use, it is recommended to fully charge the battery. Connect the device to a power source using the provided USB Type-C cable. The device supports charging via a power bank for convenience.

2.3 Initial Power On and Self-Calibration

Press the power button to turn on the device. It is advisable to perform a self-calibration function periodically or after significant temperature changes to ensure measurement accuracy. Refer to the on-screen menu for the self-calibration option.

2.4 Connecting to a PC

The device can be connected to a PC via the USB Type-C interface. This allows for data transfer and control using compatible PC software. Ensure the necessary drivers are installed on your computer if prompted.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Basic Operation

The MP720857 features a 3.5-inch LCD display and intuitive controls. Use the navigation buttons and function keys (F1-F4) to navigate through menus and adjust settings. The 'Auto' button provides a one-key auto-set function for quick signal detection and display optimization.

3.2 Oscilloscope Function

To use the oscilloscope, connect the probe to the desired test point and the device's oscilloscope input. Select the oscilloscope mode from the main menu. Adjust the horizontal scale (time/div) and vertical sensitivity (volts/div) as needed. The device supports various trigger types (Edge) and modes (Auto, Normal, Single) to capture stable waveforms. Utilize the automatic measurement functions for Period, Frequency, Mean, PK-PK, Max, Min, ΔV, ΔT, and ΔT&ΔV between cursors.

3.3 Multimeter Function

For multimeter measurements, connect the multimeter leads to the dedicated multimeter input terminals. Select the desired measurement mode (Voltage, Current, Resistance, Capacitance, Diode, Continuity) from the menu. The multimeter input is independent of the oscilloscope input, allowing for simultaneous use. The device offers reading hold and relative measurement functions.

3.4 Waveform Generator Function

The integrated waveform generator can output various waveforms including sine, square, ramp, pulse, and arbitrary waveforms. Select the waveform generator mode and configure the desired waveform type, frequency (0.1Hz resolution), and amplitude (20 mVpp - 5 Vpp). Connect the output to the circuit under test.

3.5 SCPI Commands

The MP720857 supports Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI), enabling remote control and automation through a PC connection. This feature facilitates secondary development and integration into automated test systems. Refer to the detailed SCPI programming guide (if available separately) for command syntax and usage.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the device, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild detergent can be used. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the casing or display. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from all power sources before cleaning.

4.2 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. It is recommended to store the device in its soft bag to protect it from dust and physical damage. Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage to prolong its lifespan.

4.3 Battery Care

To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the battery when the low battery indicator appears. If the device will not be used for a long time, charge it every three months to prevent deep discharge.

5. Troubleshooting

If problems persist, refer to the official product support resources or contact the manufacturer/seller for assistance.
