Operating Instructions
Display Modes
The docking station supports various display configurations depending on your operating system:
- Windows Systems:
- Extend Mode: Allows you to extend your desktop across multiple external monitors, providing independent workspaces. With DP1.4, you can extend to quadruple monitors.
- Mirror Mode: Duplicates your laptop's display onto all connected external monitors.
- Non-Mirror Mode: Allows for different content on each external display, distinct from the laptop's screen.
- To configure display settings, right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings" (Windows 10/11) or "Screen Resolution" (Windows 7/8).
- macOS Systems:
- Due to macOS limitations, multiple external displays will typically operate in Mirror Mode only, showing the same content across all external screens.
- To configure display settings, go to System Settings > Displays.
Data Transfer
Utilize the high-speed USB ports and card reader for efficient data transfer:
- USB 3.1 (10Gbps): Connect compatible devices for ultra-fast data transfer.
- USB 3.0 (5Gbps): Ideal for external hard drives, SSDs, and other high-bandwidth peripherals.
- USB 2.0 (480Mbps): Suitable for keyboards, mice, printers, and other standard USB devices.
- SD/TF Card Reader: Quickly transfer photos and videos from your memory cards.

Charging
The USB-C PD 3.0 port supports up to 100W power input, delivering up to 85W to charge your connected laptop while using the docking station.
Audio
The 3.5mm audio/mic jack allows you to connect headphones, speakers, or a microphone for audio input/output.
Maintenance
- Keep the docking station clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Regularly check cables for any signs of wear or damage.
Troubleshooting
- No display on external monitors:
- Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.
- Check all cable connections (USB-C to host, HDMI/DP/VGA to monitors).
- Verify that the external monitors are powered on and set to the correct input source.
- Try updating your laptop's graphics drivers.
- For macOS, remember that multiple external displays typically only support Mirror Mode.
- Laptop not charging:

- Check the power adapter's wattage; it should be sufficient for your laptop's charging requirements.
- USB devices not recognized:
- Try connecting the USB device to a different port on the dock.
- Ensure the device drivers are installed on your laptop.
- If it's a high-power device, ensure the dock is connected to its power adapter.
- Ethernet connection issues:
- Check the Ethernet cable connection to both the dock and your router/modem.

User Tips
- DisplayLink vs. Alt Mode: This docking station primarily uses DisplayPort Alternate Mode (Alt Mode) and Multi-Stream Transport (MST) for video output. For Windows users, this allows for extended displays across multiple monitors. For macOS users, due to Apple's limitations with Alt Mode, multiple external displays will typically mirror each other. If you require extended displays on macOS, you might need a docking station that explicitly supports DisplayLink technology (which this model does not specify).
- Power Adapter: While the dock can draw power from your laptop's USB-C port, connecting an external power adapter to the PD 3.0 port is highly recommended for stable operation, especially when using multiple displays, charging your laptop, or connecting power-hungry USB devices.
- Cable Quality: Using high-quality USB-C, HDMI, and DisplayPort cables is crucial for achieving optimal resolutions and stable connections, particularly for 4K displays.
