1. Introduction

The Eye4U ABM600 Video Baby Monitor is designed to provide parents with peace of mind by offering real-time audio and video surveillance of their baby. Featuring a 3.5-inch LCD screen, two-way audio communication, temperature monitoring, night vision, and VOX sound activation, this monitor ensures you stay connected with your little one. The system operates on a secure 2.4GHz FHSS wireless connection, ensuring privacy and stable transmission.

Safety Information

  • Keep small parts away from children.
  • Ensure all cables are out of reach of children to prevent strangulation hazards.
  • Do not place the camera or monitor in or near water.
  • Use only the provided power adapters.
  • Do not attempt to open or repair the device yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel.

Parent Unit (Monitor)

  • 3.5-inch LCD Display: For viewing live video feed.
  • VOV Key: Activates VOX mode.

  • Volume Up/Down: Adjusts monitor volume.

4. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps for initial setup of your ABM600 Video Baby Monitor.

4.1 Powering On and Charging

  1. Connect one power adapter to the Baby Unit (camera) and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Connect the second power adapter to the Parent Unit (monitor) and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. Slide the Power Key on both the Baby Unit and Parent Unit to the 'ON' position. The power indicator LEDs will light up.
  4. Allow the Parent Unit to fully charge before first use for optimal battery performance.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the Baby Unit (camera) in a location that provides a clear view of your baby, but out of their reach (at least 3 feet / 1 meter away from the crib).
  • The camera features a 360° rotatable base and 60° tilt up/down for flexible positioning.
  • Place the Parent Unit (monitor) in a convenient location where you can easily monitor your baby.
  • Ensure the camera and monitor are within the effective transmission range (up to 100 meters indoors, 300 meters outdoors).

4.3 Pairing (Automatic)

The Baby Unit and Parent Unit are pre-paired at the factory. When both units are powered on and within range, they should automatically connect. If connection issues occur, refer to the Troubleshooting section or the video below for manual pairing instructions.

5. Operating Instructions

Learn how to use the various features of your ABM600 Video Baby Monitor.

5.1 Real-Time Monitoring

Once connected, the Parent Unit will display a live video feed from the Baby Unit. The 2.4G wireless transmission ensures a stable connection for continuous monitoring.

5.2 Two-Way Audio Communication

The ABM600 allows you to talk to your baby remotely.

  1. Press and hold the PTT Key on the Parent Unit.
  2. Speak clearly into the microphone on the Parent Unit. Your voice will be transmitted to the Baby Unit.
  3. Release the PTT Key to listen to your baby.

5.3 Lullaby Playback

Soothe your baby with built-in lullabies.

  1. Press the Music Play On/Off Key on the Parent Unit to start playing lullabies.
  2. Navigate through the 8 built-in lullabies using the directional keys in the menu.
  3. Press the Music Play On/Off Key again to stop playback.

5.4 Temperature Monitoring

The Baby Unit continuously monitors the room temperature and displays it on the Parent Unit.

  • The current temperature is displayed on the Parent Unit screen.
  • An alert will sound if the temperature goes above or below a set threshold (configurable in settings).

5.5 VOX Mode (Sound Activated)

VOX mode helps conserve battery by turning off the screen when no sound is detected.

  • Press the VOV Key to activate/deactivate VOX mode.
  • In VOX mode, the screen will automatically turn on when a sound (like crying) is detected from the baby's room.
  • The screen will turn off automatically when the room is quiet for a set period.
  • VOX sensitivity can be adjusted in the menu (Normal, Medium, High).

5.6 Automatic Night Vision

The camera automatically switches to night vision in low-light conditions.

  • The built-in light sensor detects ambient light.
  • Infrared LEDs activate automatically to provide a clear black-and-white image in the dark.

5.7 Feeding Reminder

Set alarms to remind you of feeding times.

  1. Access the menu on the Parent Unit.
  2. Navigate to the 'Feeding Reminder' option.
  3. Set desired feeding intervals or specific times.

6. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your baby monitor.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the camera and monitor. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Lens Care: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid touching the lens directly with your fingers.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, ensure both units are fully charged, then power them off. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Battery Care: The Parent Unit has a built-in rechargeable battery. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan. The camera unit does not contain a battery and works only on power charger.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ABM600 monitor, try these solutions:

9. User Tips

  • Motion Detection: The ABM600 features VOX (Voice Operated eXchange) which acts as a sound-activated motion detection. The screen will activate upon detecting significant sound, indicating potential baby movement or distress.
  • Optimal Lullaby Use: Use the built-in lullabies to help your baby fall asleep. Experiment with different melodies to find what works best for your child.
  • Feeding Schedule: Utilize the feeding reminder feature to maintain a consistent feeding schedule, which can be crucial for your baby's healthy growth.
  • Battery Life: To maximize battery life on the Parent Unit, especially during the night, enable VOX mode. This will turn off the screen when the room is quiet and reactivate it when sound is detected. The monitor's battery can last up to 24 hours in VOX mode.
  • Camera Power: Remember that the camera unit requires continuous power from the adapter as it does not contain a battery.
