6. Operating Instructions

Once the hub is set up, you can begin connecting and managing your USB devices.

6.1 Connecting Devices

Insert your USB devices (e.g., flash drives, external hard drives, keyboards, mice, USB fans, USB lamps, card readers) into the available USB 3.0/3.1 ports on the hub.

6.2 Individual On/Off Switches

Each USB port is equipped with an independent on/off switch. Press the button next to a port to toggle its power. An LED indicator will illuminate when the port is active, allowing you to manage power to individual devices without physically unplugging them.

8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your USB hub, please follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Storage: Store the hub in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the hub. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Handling: Avoid dropping the hub or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Disassembly: Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. This may void your warranty and cause damage.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your RSHTECH USB Hub, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

9.1 Device Not Recognized

  • Ensure the hub is properly powered by the 12V/3A adapter and the adapter is plugged into a live power outlet.
  • Check if the individual switch for the specific port is turned on (the LED indicator next to the port should be lit).
  • Try connecting the USB device directly to your computer to rule out an issue with the device itself.
  • Try a different USB port on the hub or a different USB port on your computer.
  • Ensure the USB data cable connecting the hub to your computer is securely connected at both ends.

9.2 Slow Data Transfer

  • Ensure both the hub and your connected device support USB 3.0/3.1 for optimal speeds. Connecting a USB 2.0 device to a USB 3.0/3.1 port will result in USB 2.0 speeds.
  • Verify that the host USB port on your computer is also USB 3.0/3.1.
  • Avoid connecting too many power-hungry devices simultaneously if you are experiencing significant speed degradation.

9.3 Power Issues

  • Confirm the 12V/3A power adapter is correctly plugged into the hub and a functioning power outlet.
  • While the hub is designed to support multiple power-hungry devices, excessive load might cause instability. Try disconnecting some devices to see if the issue resolves.

10. User Tips

  • The independent switches are very convenient for managing connected devices without constantly plugging and unplugging them. Use them to power off devices not currently in use to save energy and reduce clutter.
  • This hub is plug-and-play, so you don't need to install any drivers, making setup quick and easy. If a device isn't recognized, a simple replug of the hub or device often resolves it.
  • The aluminum alloy housing makes it sturdy and durable, a good choice for frequent use. Its robust design also aids in heat dissipation, contributing to stable performance.

11. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the device to water, moisture, or high humidity.
  • Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Use only the provided power adapter. Using an incorrect power adapter may damage the device and void the warranty.
  • Keep the device out of reach of children.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the hub to prevent overheating.

12. Certification

This product complies with the following standards:

  • CE (Conformité Européenne)
  • FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
  • RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
