6.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for proper wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

Detailed wiring diagram for the car radio, showing connections for power, speakers, antenna, and other accessories.
Figure 5: Wiring Diagram

Key Wiring Connections:

  • Yellow Wire (B+): Connect to a constant 12V power source (always active) for memory retention (e.g., saved radio stations, last played track).
  • Red Wire (ACC): Connect to the car's ignition switch (key cable). This wire should be 12V when the car is started and 0V when the ignition is off.
  • Black Wire (GND): Connect to the car's chassis ground (negative pole).
  • Speaker Wires: Connect to your car's speakers. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) for each speaker to avoid sound distortion.
  • Antenna: Connect your car's FM antenna.

6.2 Wiring Protection

This unit features power supply polarity reversal protection. If the power cord is wired incorrectly (e.g., reversed polarity), the unit will automatically cut off power to prevent damage. This helps protect the machine motherboard or fuse from burning out.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the unit's front panel. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Dust: Regularly remove dust from the unit's vents to ensure proper cooling.
  • Fuses: If the unit stops working, check the fuses in your car's electrical system and on the unit's wiring harness. Replace blown fuses with ones of the correct rating.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your BQCC JSD-530, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Q: The unit does not turn on, or the screen is not working.
A: Check the power cable connections. Ensure the yellow wire (B+) is connected to a constant 12V supply, the red wire (ACC) to the ignition's 12V supply (12V when car is on, 0V when off), and the black wire to the negative ground. Also, check for blown fuses in both the car and the unit's wiring.
Q: No sound from the speakers.
A: Verify that the speaker wires are connected correctly and with the right polarity. Incorrect wiring can damage the power amplifier chip. Ensure the volume is not muted or set too low.
Q: The unit does not remember the last radio station or music settings.
A: This usually indicates that the red (ACC) and yellow (B+) power wires are reversed or incorrectly connected. The yellow wire (B+) must always have 12V power for memory retention.
Q: Cannot read or play music/videos from SD or USB.
A: Use storage cards or USB drives with capacities of 8GB or 16GB, as some large-capacity devices may not be supported. Format the storage device to ensure its file system is compatible (e.g., FAT32). Ensure the media files are in common formats like MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, or APE.
Q: Bluetooth connection fails, or functions are abnormal after connection.
A: On your mobile phone, search for the unit's Bluetooth name, which is typically "CAR BT" or "CAR KIT" (or SWL-BT). Delete any previously paired but unconnected Bluetooth devices from your phone's list, as they can interfere with new connections.

Note: If troubleshooting involves disassembly or complex circuit issues, please seek professional assistance to avoid further damage to your car or the unit.

10. User Tips

  • Wiring for Memory: Always double-check that the yellow wire (B+) is connected to a constant 12V power source in your vehicle. This ensures that your radio presets and other settings are saved even when the car is turned off.
  • Media Compatibility: For best results with USB drives and TF cards, use smaller capacity devices (e.g., 8GB or 16GB) and ensure they are formatted to a standard file system like FAT32. Stick to common audio formats like MP3.
  • Bluetooth Connection: If you experience difficulty connecting via Bluetooth, try clearing old Bluetooth pairings from your phone's settings before attempting to connect to "CAR BT" or "CAR KIT".
  • Professional Installation: While DIY installation is possible for experienced users, professional installation is recommended, especially for complex wiring, to prevent potential damage to the unit or vehicle.
