4.2 Wiring Diagrams

Follow the appropriate wiring diagram based on your chosen CT type:

4.2.1 Built-in CT Wiring

For the Built-in CT version, the wire carrying the current to be measured should pass directly through the designated hole on the right side of the meter. Connect the AC voltage input to terminals 1 and 2.

6. Precautions

  • Ensure all wiring is correct and secure before applying power. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or pose a safety hazard.
  • Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
  • Clean the device with a dry cloth only. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
  • The meter is designed for AC circuits only. Do not connect to DC power.

7. Troubleshooting (FAQs)

Q: The indicator light does not illuminate.
A: Check whether the power supply is normal and properly connected to terminals 1 and 2.
Q: The readings appear inaccurate.
A: Calibration may be required. Ensure the CT is correctly installed and the wire passes through it properly. If issues persist, contact support.
Q: The device is making abnormal noise.
A: Immediately discontinue use and disconnect power. Contact maintenance service or after-sales support.

8. User Tips

  • For accurate KWH (kilowatt-hour) readings, ensure the meter is installed correctly and the current transformer is properly positioned around the load wire.
  • The 'RESET' button is specifically for clearing the KWH accumulation. Be mindful when pressing it if you need to track long-term energy consumption.
  • This meter is designed for AC voltage ranges up to 450V. Do not attempt to measure voltages exceeding this limit, such as 660 VAC, as it is outside the device's specified operating range.
  • The wide viewing angle (178°) of the LCD screen allows for clear readings from various positions, making it convenient for monitoring in different setups.
