3.2 Key Features

4. Setup

4.1 Initial Power-On

  1. Ensure the device is fully charged or connected to a power source.
  2. Press and hold the Power button to turn on the device.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language and region.

4.2 Software Updates

It is recommended to update the device software regularly to ensure access to the latest vehicle coverage and features. Connect the device to a PC via the USB cable and use the OTOFIX PC Suite software to perform updates. The device supports lifetime free updates.

4.3 Connecting to a Vehicle

  1. Locate the vehicle's OBDII port (usually under the dashboard).
  2. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off.
  3. Connect one end of the OBDII cable to the OTOFIX TireGo 808 and the other end to the vehicle's OBDII port.
  4. Turn the vehicle's ignition to the ON position (engine off).

5. Operating Instructions

The OTOFIX TireGo 808 offers two primary operation modes: Quick Mode for streamlined tasks and Advanced Mode for more complex TPMS repairs.

5.1 Sensor Activation

The TireGo 808 can trigger both OEM and universal 315MHz/433MHz TPMS sensors to read their data.

  1. Navigate to the "Activate Sensors" function on the device.
  2. Position the tool near the tire valve stem.
  3. Press the "Activate" button on the device to trigger the sensor.
  4. The device will display sensor information such as ID, tire pressure, temperature, battery condition, and position.

5.2 MX-Sensor Programming

The TireGo 808 is specifically designed to program OTOFIX MX-Sensors (315MHz/433MHz). Up to 16 MX-Sensors can be programmed wirelessly at once. Ensure the MX-Sensor is placed within 4 inches of the device's embedded sensor slot during programming.

Four programming modes are available:

5.3 Sensor Relearn

After replacing and programming new sensors, a relearn procedure is necessary for the vehicle's TPMS ECU to recognize them. The TireGo 808 supports three relearn methods:

5.4 TPMS Diagnostics

The device can perform a comprehensive diagnostic scan of the entire TPMS system to identify faults or malfunctions. It can read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) related to the TPMS.

5.5 Key Fob Test

Use this function to check the frequency and battery status of a vehicle's key fob. This helps in diagnosing issues with remote entry or ignition systems.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Software Updates

The OTOFIX TireGo 808 comes with lifetime free software updates. Regularly updating the device ensures optimal performance, expanded vehicle coverage, and access to the latest TPMS technologies. Connect the device to a computer with internet access using the provided USB cable and follow the instructions in the OTOFIX PC Suite software to perform updates.

6.2 Data Management and Printing

Diagnostic data and reports can be recorded and printed for analysis or record-keeping. Connect the device to a PC via USB and use the PC Suite software to manage and print historical test records, including DTCs, system information, and overall TPMS performance.
