4. Product Overview

4.1 Device Components

  • Display Screen: Shows measurement results, battery status, and measurement mode.
  • MEAS Button: Initiates single or continuous measurements.
  • CLEAR / Power Button: Clears current measurement or powers the device on/off.
  • USB-C Charging Port: For recharging the internal battery.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

The device is equipped with a built-in 3.7V 350mAh lithium battery. Before first use, or when the battery indicator shows low power, charge the device using the provided USB cable.

  1. Connect the USB charging cable to the device's USB-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a power adapter (5V==1A recommended) or a computer USB port.
  3. During normal charging, the LED indicator light on the device will remain on.
  4. Once the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator light will turn off.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on the device, press and hold the CLEAR / Power button.
  • To power off the device, press and hold the CLEAR / Power button again.

6.2 Single Measurement

For a quick, one-time distance reading:

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Point the laser at the target surface.
  3. Press the MEAS button. The measurement will be displayed on the screen.

6.3 Continuous Measurement

For dynamic measurements, such as finding maximum or minimum distances while moving the device:

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Activate continuous measurement mode (typically by a short press of the MEAS button after power on, or a double-press, refer to on-screen icons).
  3. Move the device slowly across the area you wish to measure. The device will automatically calculate and display the maximum and minimum values encountered during the movement.

6.4 Measurement Reference

The device measures from its rear reference point. When taking measurements, ensure you account for the device's physical length if measuring from an edge or corner where the device itself occupies space.

6.5 Measurement Unit

The default measurement unit is meters (m).

7. Maintenance

  • Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Keep the laser lens clean to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Store the device in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Recommended storage temperature: -20°C to 60°C.

8. Troubleshooting

Device not turning on or charging:
Ensure the USB cable is securely connected and the power adapter meets the 5V==1A requirement. Check if the LED indicator light is on during charging.
Inaccurate measurements:
Verify that the laser path to the target is clear and unobstructed. Ensure the device is held steady. Remember that the device measures from its rear reference point.
How to perform continuous measurement?
After powering on, activate continuous measurement mode (refer to on-screen icons or a quick press of the MEAS button). Move the device slowly to capture max/min values.
