5. Installation and Setup
5.1 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the diagram below for proper wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure before applying power.

5.2 Connection Steps
- Power Supply: Connect a DC12V-24V power supply (transformer, not included) to the controller's power input terminals. Observe polarity (+ and -).
- LED Strips: Connect your LED light strips to the corresponding LED output terminals (LED1, LED2, etc.) on the controller. Each terminal corresponds to one step. Ensure correct polarity.
- PIR Sensors: Connect the two PIR motion sensors to the 'Sensor A' and 'Sensor B' ports on the controller.
- Wire Connectors: Use the provided D2-2 wire connectors for secure and reliable connections. These connectors are rated for 32A, 250V, and a wiring range of 0.08-2.5(4.0)mm².

5.3 Sensor Installation
Install Sensor A at the bottom of the stairs and Sensor B at the top, ensuring they are positioned to detect movement from people approaching or leaving the staircase. Both surface-mount and recessed installation options are available for the PIR sensors.

6. Operation
The controller can be operated using the buttons on the unit or via the included remote control. The remote control provides convenient access to all settings.
6.1 Remote Control Functions
The remote control allows for easy adjustment of various parameters:
- Brightness: Adjusts the light intensity.
- Delay: Sets the duration the lights remain on after activation.
- Speed/Mode: Adjusts the speed of lighting effects or switches between different lighting modes.
- Number: Used to set the number of steps the controller manages.

7. Modes and Settings
7.1 Setting the Number of Steps
- RL-STEP-01B & RL-STEP-02 (16 Steps):
Press and hold the "Number" button on the remote or controller to enter step setting mode. Short press "Number" to select the desired number of steps (up to 16). Press and hold "Number" again to save the setting. Each step will be indicated by a blue signal light on the controller. - RL-STEP-03/04 (28 Steps):
Press and hold the "Number" button on the remote or controller to enter step setting mode. Short press "Number" to select the desired number of steps (up to 28). 8. Troubleshooting
- Controller Not Powering On:
- Ensure the DC12V-24V power supply is correctly connected and functioning.
- Verify that the power supply is not 220V AC, as this will damage the unit. - Lights Not Activating with Motion:
- Check that both PIR sensors (Sensor A and Sensor B) are correctly connected to the controller.
- Ensure the sensors are installed at the entrance and exit of the stairs and are facing the direction of human movement.
- Verify that the sensor cables are not damaged or disconnected. - Incorrect Number of Steps Lighting Up:
- Re-enter the step setting mode (long press "Number") and ensure the correct number of steps is selected and saved. - Lights Not Responding to Remote Control:
- Check the battery in the remote control and replace if necessary.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the controller. - Irregular Lighting Behavior:
- Check all LED strip connections for loose wires or incorrect polarity.
- Ensure the total power consumption of your LED strips does not exceed the controller's maximum capacity (240W for 16-step models, 420W for 28-step models).
9. User Tips
- Sensor Placement Optimization: Experiment with the exact placement and angle of the PIR sensors to achieve the most reliable motion detection for your specific staircase layout.
- Customization: If you require advanced customization or have specific DIY needs beyond the standard settings, consider contacting the seller's customer service for expert advice.
- Multiple Sensors: The controller is designed for two PIR sensors (A and B). Using more than two sensors is not supported by this model.
10. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Keep the controller and sensors clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the installation environment remains dry and within recommended temperature ranges to prevent damage.
