6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
To clean the keyboard, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the finish or keys. Ensure the keyboard is powered off before cleaning.
6.2 Storage
When not in use, fold the keyboard to protect the keys and touchpad. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The magnetic adsorption feature helps keep it securely folded.
7. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not connecting: Ensure the keyboard is charged and powered on. Verify that your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the keyboard is in pairing mode (flashing indicator). Try re-pairing the keyboard.
- Touchpad not working: If using an iOS device, ensure your iOS version is 13.4 or higher. Touchpad functionality is not supported on older iOS versions.
- Incorrect character input: The physical keyboard has an English layout. To type in other languages, change the input language settings on your connected device. The keyboard itself does not change its physical layout.
- USB connection not working for typing: The USB-C port is primarily for charging the keyboard. Bluetooth is the primary method for wireless connection and typing.
8. User Tips
- Check OS Compatibility: While broadly compatible, always ensure your device's operating system (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) meets the minimum requirements for full functionality, especially for touchpad gestures on iOS (iOS 13.4+).
- Language Layout: The keyboard features an English layout. For typing in other languages (e.g., Spanish with 'ñ', Hebrew, Arabic, French AZERTY, Brazilian ABNT2), you will need to configure the input language settings on your connected device. The physical keycaps will remain English.
- Smart TV/Linux Use: While designed for desktops, laptops, and tablets, some users have successfully connected to Smart TVs or Linux devices. Compatibility may vary depending on the specific device's Bluetooth capabilities and driver support.
- USB for Charging Only: Remember that the USB-C port is solely for charging the keyboard's internal battery, not for a wired data connection to your device.
