  3. Connect LAN Devices: Use Ethernet cables to connect your computers or other network devices to the LAN1-LAN4 ports. The corresponding LAN LED will light up when a connection is established.
  4. Connect Telephone (Optional): If you have voice services, connect your telephone to the TEL port using an RJ11 cable.
  5. Connect USB Devices (Optional): You can connect USB storage devices to the USB ports for network sharing.

3.2 Web Interface Access and Password Change

To configure advanced settings, access the router's web interface:

  1. Ensure your computer is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi.
  2. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.1) in the address bar.
  3. You will be prompted to log in. The default username is typically 'user' or 'CMCCAdmin'. The default password might be 'user' or 'admin', or provided by your service provider.
  4. Important: For security, it is highly recommended to change the default password immediately after logging in for the first time. Navigate to the 'Management' section, then 'User Management'.
  5. Enter the old password, then set a new password. The new password must contain special characters, uppercase letters, and numbers (e.g., @A12345678).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Wi-Fi Connectivity

The PT939G supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). You can find the default Wi-Fi network names (SSIDs) and passwords printed on a label on the bottom or back of the router. To connect devices:

  1. On your device (smartphone, laptop, etc.), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  2. Select the 2.4G or 5G SSID of your PT939G router.
  3. Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.
  4. For quick setup, press the WPS button on the router and then activate WPS on your client device within two minutes.

4.2 Ethernet Connections

The router provides four Gigabit Ethernet ports (LAN1-LAN4) for wired connections. These ports automatically adapt to 10/100/1000Mbps speeds. Simply connect your wired devices using standard RJ45 Ethernet cables.

4.3 Telephone Services (FXS Port)

The FXS (Foreign Exchange Subscriber) port allows you to connect a standard analog telephone for voice services. The device supports G.711, G.723, G.726, G.729 codecs, T.30/T.38/G.711 Fax mode, and DTMF Relay Line testing according to GR-909.

4.4 USB Ports

The two USB ports can be used for connecting external storage devices, allowing you to share files across your network.

5. Maintenance

5.1 General Care

  • Keep the device in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  • Do not block the ventilation openings.
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the router.

5.2 Environmental Conditions

The router is designed to operate within specific environmental ranges:

  • Operating Temperature: 0℃ to +50℃
  • Operating Humidity: 10% to 90% (non-condensing)
  • Storing Temperature: -30℃ to +60℃
  • Storing Humidity: 10% to 90% (non-condensing)

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the router and a working power outlet. Check the PWR LED.
  • No Optical Signal (LOS LED is red): Check the fiber optic cable connection. Ensure it is not damaged or bent sharply. Contact your service provider if the issue persists.
  • No Internet (PON LED is off or blinking): This indicates a problem with the optical network connection or service activation. Verify the fiber connection and contact your service provider.
  • Wi-Fi Not Working: Check if the 2.4G and 5.8G LEDs are lit. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in the router's web interface. Verify your Wi-Fi password.
  • Cannot Access Web Interface: Ensure your device is connected to the router. Verify the IP address (default 192.168.1.1) and your login credentials.
  • Forgot Password: If you forget your login password, you may need to perform a factory reset using the Reset button. This will erase all custom configurations.
