Setup Guide
1. Charging the Car Battery
- Connect the included 7.4V 500mAh Li-ion battery to the USB charging cable.
- Plug the USB charging cable into a standard USB power adapter (e.g., phone charger, computer USB port). The charging voltage is 5V.
- Allow approximately 120 minutes for a full charge. The charging indicator light on the USB cable will typically change color or turn off when charging is complete.
- Always disconnect the battery from the charger once fully charged.
2. Installing Car Battery
- Locate the battery compartment on the RC car.
- Carefully insert the charged 7.4V 500mAh Li-ion battery into the compartment.
- Connect the battery connector to the car's power port. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
3. Installing Remote Controller Batteries
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote controller.
- Insert 2 x 1.25V AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.
4. Pairing the Remote Controller with the Car
- Turn on the RC car using its power switch.
- Turn on the remote controller using its ON/OFF switch.
- The remote controller and car should automatically pair (automatic frequency). A light on the remote or car may indicate a successful connection.
- If pairing fails, turn both devices off and repeat the steps.
Operation Guide
1. Remote Controller Functions

- ON/OFF Switch: Powers the remote controller on or off.
- TH.TRIM (Throttle Trim): Adjusts the neutral point of the throttle. Use if the car moves slightly forward or backward when the throttle is at neutral.
- T.Rate (Throttle Rate): Adjusts the maximum throttle output, controlling the car's top speed.
- S.Rate (Steering Rate): Adjusts the maximum steering angle, controlling the car's turning radius.
- Point Lamp: Indicator light for remote controller status.
- Headlight Controller (CH3 Button): Activates the remote-controlled flip-up headlights. Press to open/close.
- Steering Wheel: Controls the left and right steering of the car.
- Throttle Trigger: Pull for forward movement, push for reverse/brake. This is a full proportional control, meaning the speed varies with how much you pull/push the trigger.
2. Driving and Drifting
The LDRC LD1801 AE86 features full proportional control for both steering and speed, allowing for precise maneuvers. The integrated ESP Gyroscope assists in maintaining control during drifts.
- Steering: Turn the steering wheel left or right to direct the car. The steering angle can be adjusted for super angle steering, enabling tail flick drifts.
- Speed: Use the accelerator-type remote control rocker. The speed can be adjusted according to your finger force on the trigger.
- Drifting: Practice smooth steering and throttle inputs to initiate and maintain drifts. The ESP Gyroscope will help stabilize the car.

3. Headlight Control
The car is equipped with cool remote-controlled flip-up headlights.
- Press the Headlight Controller (CH3) button on the remote to toggle the flip-up headlights open or closed.

Maintenance
1. General Care and Cleaning
- After each use, gently clean the car with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
- Avoid using water or chemical cleaners, as they can damage electronic components.
- Inspect the wheels, suspension, and steering components for any damage or loose parts.
2. Tire Replacement
The LDRC LD1801 AE86 comes with replaceable speed and drift tires, allowing you to customize your driving experience.
- To replace tires, carefully remove the wheel nuts or screws securing the wheels.
- Swap the current tires with the desired speed or drift tires.
- Re-secure the wheels, ensuring they are firmly attached but not overtightened.

3. Tire Inclination Adjustment
You can adjust the tire inclination (camber) to fine-tune the car's handling and drifting performance.
- Adjust the length of the cylinders on both sides of the suspension to change the tire dumping angle. Refer to the diagram for guidance.

4. Battery Care
- The car's battery circuit board includes protection against overcharge, over-discharge, and low voltage.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Do not leave batteries charging unattended for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Car does not respond to remote. | Low battery in car or remote; not paired; car/remote not turned on. | Charge car battery, replace remote batteries, ensure both are powered on and re-pair if necessary. |
| Car moves erratically or drifts unintentionally. | Steering/Throttle trim needs adjustment; ESP Gyroscope interference. | Adjust TH.TRIM and S.Rate on the remote. Ensure car is on a flat surface when powered on for gyro calibration. |
| Headlights do not flip up/down. | CH3 button not pressed; mechanical obstruction. | Ensure CH3 button is pressed firmly. Check for any physical obstructions preventing the lights from moving. |
| Short playing time. | Battery not fully charged; aging battery. | Ensure battery is charged for the full 120 minutes. Consider replacing the battery if it's old. |
