When using battery power, the two power output interfaces (DC OUT 8.4V and external install and power kit) can be connected to other devices. For powering other devices, a larger capacity battery is recommended for longer use time.
- DC IN 12V: The left side of the monitor has a DC 12V input power port (5.5mm outer, 2.1mm inner) and supports 7 ~ 24V wide voltage. A DC power adapter needs to be purchased separately. When using an external adapter, ensure it is at least a 3A power adapter if powering other equipment via the monitor's output.
- Type-C 5V: The bottom of the monitor has a Type-C 5V input power port. This port can be connected to a power bank for power supply and is not used for data transmission. It is recommended for local power supply only, not for loop-out power to other devices.
Remark: Please take off the battery from the monitor if you don't use the monitor for a long time.
4.2 Sony F970 External Install and Power Kit
A Sony F970 external install and power kit is integrated into the back of the monitor. This kit allows you to mount and power external equipment such as wireless transmitters, LED lights, and video converters using an NP-F battery.
The kit features two cross grooves, allowing you to adjust the position of the external device by loosening 2 screws (up/down, left/right) or install the kit upside down. If the kit is not needed, it can be removed by loosening the screws.

Removing the Kit:
- Loosen the 2 screws.
- Use both hands to move the kit up.
- Move the round holes to align with the corresponding 2 screws.
- Gently lift the kit upwards and carefully disassemble the 2P power cord.
- Remove the 2 screws.
Note: Before disassembling the kit, ensure the monitor is turned off and remove the battery or power adapter.
Installing the Kit:
First, screw the 2 screws back into the screw holes on the back of the monitor. Install the 2P power cable to the cutout, then align the round hole of the kit with the screw, push the kit to the screw at the center of the kit cross, and then tighten the screws.
4.3 Mount Points
The monitor features 4 standard 1/4”-20 thread points (top, bottom, right side, and back center) for easy connection to hot shoe mounts, tripods, or other fixed installations.

Tilt Arm Mounting:
The included cold shoe mounted Tilt Arm allows the monitor to rotate 360 degrees for convenient viewing. It provides secure and lightweight mounting via a shoe mount or 1/4”-20 thread. The tilt arm also includes its own shoe mount for accessories like microphones, LED lights, or wireless receivers. Two small dots on the tilt arm align with the monitor for stable installation, allowing rotation without loosening screws.

4.4 Sunshade Installation
The portable sunshade helps resist strong light during outdoor shooting. It is easy to install:
- First, lock the Sunshade Frame with the monitor.
- Open the sunshade and match the sticker on the sunshade inside to the marked part of the sunshade frame.
- Smooth and press 3 sides on the sunshade to complete the installation.
