6. Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • When storing, ensure the charging port of the receiver is placed upwards when returning it to the charging case to ensure proper contact.
  • Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid exposing the product to rain, moisture, or any liquids.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Refer to authorized service personnel for any repairs.

7. Troubleshooting

Q: Poor wireless connection or audio dropouts?
A: Due to 2.4G wireless characteristics, always try to keep the transmitter and receiver face-to-face. Avoid turning your back to the receiver, as this can create signal breakpoints. Ensure there are no major obstructions between the TX and RX.
Q: Inaccurate battery level display during charging?
A: This is normal for lithium batteries. The transmitter's charging indicator may show an inaccurate battery level when charging begins. The actual power may be lower than indicated. If the transmitter is completely depleted, it may take more than two hours for a full charge.
Q: Microphone not recognized by my device?
A: Ensure you have the correct Rimo S1 version (USB-C or Lightning) for your device's port. For some devices, you might need to select the external microphone as the audio input in your recording app settings.
Q: Can I use the USB-C version with GoPro or Insta360 cameras?
A: The Rimo S1 USB-C version supports DJI OSMO Action 2/3 cameras directly. However, it may not be suitable for GoPro, Insta360, and other sports cameras. Please consult the seller for compatibility with specific sports camera models before purchase.

8. User Tips

  • Choose the Right Version: The Rimo S1 comes in two versions: USB-C for Android phones, tablets, and PCs, and MFi-certified Lightning for iPhones and iPads. Make sure to select the version compatible with your primary recording device.
  • Optimal Placement: For the best sound quality, clip the transmitter to your clothing about 6-8 inches (15-20 cm) from your mouth.
  • Monitor Your Audio: Always use the real-time monitoring feature with headphones to ensure your audio is clear and free from unwanted noise during recording.
  • Power Management: Utilize the pass-through charging feature on the receiver to keep your phone charged during extended recording sessions, especially for live streams or long videos.
  • Denoise Effectively: Experiment with the one-key denoise function in different environments to find the optimal setting for your recording conditions.
