- Insert a valid 3V SIM card into the slot. Ensure it is correctly oriented and securely seated.
5.2. Antenna Connection
Screw the provided 50Ω SMA antenna onto the 'ANT' connector on the RTU5024 device. Ensure it is finger-tight for optimal signal reception.
5.3. Power Supply Connection
Connect a 9~24VDC/2A power supply to the 'Power' terminals of the RTU5024. Observe correct polarity (+ and -).
5.4. Wiring for Gate Opener (Electronic Lock)
For controlling an electronic lock, connect the lock to the 'Relay Output' terminals (NO/COM/NC) of the RTU5024. Power both the RTU5024 and the electronic lock from the same DC source. The lock will switch ON/OFF via phone call.

5.5. Wiring for Remote Switch (AC Motor/Pump)
To use the RTU5024 as a remote switch for an AC motor or pump, connect the motor/pump to the 'Relay Output' terminals (NO/COM/NC). The RTU5024 should be powered by an AC/DC adaptor, and the pump by the grid/electricity. The pump will switch ON/OFF via phone call.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Adding/Removing Authorized Users
The RTU5024 supports up to 200 authorized phone numbers. Users can be added or removed using SMS text commands sent to the SIM card number inside the RTU5024. Refer to the detailed user manual (physical copy) for specific SMS command formats.
6.2. Remote Control via Phone Call
Once authorized, simply call the phone number of the SIM card inserted in the RTU5024. The device will recognize your number, reject the call, and activate the relay to open/close the connected device (e.g., gate, door). No call charges are incurred.

The RTU5024 can also send an SMS text message to the owner or authorized number to confirm who opened or closed the door.
6.3. Time-Limited Access
The device supports configuring time limitations for access. This means you can set specific periods during which certain authorized numbers can operate the device. Calls outside these periods will be ignored.

6.4. Smartphone Application
A dedicated smartphone application is available for easier configuration and management of the RTU5024. Please refer to the physical user manual for details on where to download and how to use the app.
7. User Tips
- 4G Compatibility: The RTU5024 comes in 2G and 4G optional versions. If you require 4G functionality, ensure you have purchased the 4G model and verify that its supported frequency bands (Quad-band 850/900/1800/1900MHz) are compatible with your local network provider.
- SIM Card Balance: Ensure the installed SIM card has sufficient credit for sending SMS commands, even though calls for operation are free.
- Authorized Numbers: While the device supports up to 200 authorized numbers, it's good practice to manage this list regularly, especially if access needs change.
8. Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the device is operated within the specified temperature (-20~+60 °C) and humidity (90% relative humidity) ranges to prevent damage.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or contact support for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Power Supply Check: Periodically inspect the power supply and wiring for any signs of wear or damage.
