This smart LCD car key is compatible with all cars equipped with an engine start/stop button. It is not suitable for vehicles that require a manual direct-plug car key or if your car has a traditional keyhole ignition and cannot be started without physically inserting a key.

The smart key does not alter any original car functions; the communication between the key and the car remains the same, preserving the vehicle's security features.

2. Important Safety Information & Precautions

• **Compatibility**: This key is designed for vehicles with a one-key start/stop engine button. It is NOT compatible with cars that require a manual direct-plug key or if your car has a keyhole and cannot be started without physically inserting a key.
• **Original Functions**: The smart LCD key does not change any original car functions. The communication and security between the key and the car remain as per the original key.
• **Charging**: When charging the LCD key, use a common charging head. Do NOT use a fast charging head, as this may damage the battery life.
• **Older Car Models**: For some older car models, two keys might be required. One key's circuit board is welded into the LCD key, and the second original key may need to be kept in the car (e.g., in the keyhole) to ensure the car engine starts.
• **Signal Blocking**: Ensure the original circuit board chip inside the LCD key is facing outwards to avoid blocking the received signal, which could affect the comfortable entry function.

4. Installation Guide

5. Solder Function Wires: Solder the wiring harness for unlock, lock, trunk, and multifunction buttons to their corresponding points on the original key circuit board. Pay attention to the solder points on the button's foot; there is no need to separate positive and negative.
6. Insert Circuit Board: Plug the wiring harness with the soldered circuit board into the correct direction on the LCD key.
7. Padding: Place sponge padding under the soldered circuit board to secure it.
8. Close & Secure: Close the LCD key and fasten it with screws.
9. **Signal Check**: Ensure the circuit board chip is facing outwards to prevent signal blockage, which could affect the comfortable entry function.

4.4 OBD Module Installation (for Comfortable Entry & Locator)

For comfortable entry and the locator function (CF920FM), the OBD module must be installed.

1. Connect Antenna Wire: Connect the antenna wire to the OBD module.
2. Insert OBD Module: Insert the OBD module into the OBD port, typically located under the steering wheel of your vehicle.

5. Operation

5.1 Basic Key Functions

The LCD key supports the following functions, mirroring your original car key:

5.3 Auto Window Lift Function

For compatible car models, the vehicle will automatically lock, and the four windows will automatically rise, with the sunroof closing (if applicable) when you carry the key 2-4 meters away from the vehicle.

5.5 Apple Find My App Integration (CF920FM Version Only)

The CF920FM version supports car location tracking via the Apple Find My app.

• Physical Button Only: If the LCD screen has no power, the physical buttons can still function for up to 6 months, allowing you to unlock and lock your car.

7.1 Common Issues and Solutions

• Key Not Starting Car: If your car has a traditional keyhole and requires a physical key to start, the smart LCD key cannot be used, even if the car can be started without plugging in the original key. For some older models, ensure a second original key is present in the car if required.
• Comfortable Entry Not Working: Verify that the OBD module is correctly installed and that the original circuit board chip inside the LCD key is facing outwards to avoid signal interference.
• CF920FM Locator Not Showing Real-time Location: The locator function (like AirTag) relies on nearby iPhones via Bluetooth for continuous positioning. It may not always show real-time location if no iPhones are in proximity. This is normal behavior.
• Battery Drains Quickly: Ensure you are not using a fast charging head. Use a standard Type-C charger.
