3. MU-MIMO Technology

The MT7921K supports MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology. Maintenance

  • Keep Drivers Updated: Regularly check for and install the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from MediaTek or your system manufacturer to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Physical Care: The module itself requires no physical maintenance once installed. Ensure your computer's internal environment is clean and free of excessive dust to prevent overheating.
  • Software Updates: Keep your operating system (Windows 10/11) updated to benefit from the latest network and Bluetooth enhancements and security patches.

Troubleshooting

No Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity after installation:
  • Ensure the module is correctly seated in the M.2 slot.
  • Verify that the antennas are securely connected (if applicable).
  • Check Device Manager to see if the Wi-Fi adapter and Bluetooth device are listed without errors. If there are yellow exclamation marks, reinstall the drivers.
  • Ensure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled in Windows settings.
Slow Wi-Fi speeds:
  • Ensure you are connected to a Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) compatible router.
  • Check if you are connected to the 5GHz band for higher speeds.
  • Update your Wi-Fi drivers.
  • Ensure your router firmware is up to date.
  • Minimize interference from other devices or networks.
Bluetooth device not pairing:
  • Ensure the Bluetooth device is in pairing mode.
  • Check if Bluetooth is enabled on your computer.
  • Remove any previous pairings of the device from your computer and try again.
  • Update your Bluetooth drivers.
  • Try pairing with another device to rule out an issue with the Bluetooth accessory.

User Tips

  • For optimal Wi-Fi 6 performance, ensure your wireless router also supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and is configured for dual-band operation.
  • Always download drivers from the official MediaTek website or your laptop manufacturer's support page to ensure compatibility and stability.
  • If upgrading from an older Wi-Fi card, consider uninstalling previous network drivers before installing the new MT7921K drivers to prevent conflicts.
  • For desktop PCs, using external antennas can significantly improve signal strength and range compared to internal laptop antennas.

Warranty and Support

For warranty information, technical support, or further assistance, please refer to the seller's policies or contact the manufacturer directly. Keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase.

For specific compatibility questions regarding Lenovo or HP laptops, it is recommended to contact the seller or your laptop manufacturer before purchase or installation.
