Initial Setup
1. Winding the Watch
As an automatic mechanical watch, it is primarily powered by the motion of your wrist. However, for initial startup or if the watch has stopped due to lack of wear, manual winding is recommended:
- Ensure the crown is in its normal, pushed-in position.
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will build up a sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- Once started, regular wear (8-10 hours a day) will keep the watch wound.
2. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to the outermost position (position 2).
- Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise until the desired time is set.
- Push the crown back into its normal position (position 0) to start the watch.
3. Setting the Date and Day
- Pull the crown out to the first click position (position 1).
- Rotate the crown clockwise to adjust the date.
- Rotate the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the day of the week.
- Once the date and day are set, push the crown back into its normal position (position 0).
- Important: Avoid setting the date and day between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can damage the movement. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this range, adjust the date, and then reset the time.
4. Band Adjustment
Your watch comes with a meter adjuster tool for resizing the stainless steel bracelet. If the bracelet is too loose or too tight, use the provided tool to remove or add links as needed. If you are unsure, it is recommended to seek professional assistance from a jeweler.

Operating Your Watch
Automatic Movement
The OLEVS 9946 features an automatic self-winding mechanical movement. This means the watch is powered by the natural motion of your arm. When worn regularly, the oscillating weight inside the watch rotates, winding the mainspring and providing power. If the watch is not worn for an extended period (e.g., 45 hours or more), it will stop and require manual winding to restart.
Water Resistance (30m / 3Bar)
Your watch is rated for 30 meters (3 Bar) of water resistance. This rating indicates that the watch is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. However, it is NOT suitable for swimming, diving, or showering, especially with hot water, as steam can penetrate the seals and damage the movement.
Luminous Display
The hands and hour markers of your OLEVS watch are treated with a luminous material. This material absorbs light during the day and emits it in the dark, allowing you to read the time in low-light conditions. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the amount of light exposure.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe your watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, sweat, and fingerprints. For the metal bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
- Avoid Chemicals: Do not expose your watch to harsh chemicals, solvents, detergents, perfumes, or cosmetics, as these can damage the case, strap, and seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing your watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) or sudden temperature changes, which can affect the accuracy and water resistance.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep your watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, airport security scanners), as magnetism can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements.
- Water Resistance Check: Although rated for 30m, water resistance is not a permanent condition. Gaskets and seals can deteriorate over time. It is recommended to have the water resistance checked periodically by a professional, especially if the watch has been subjected to impacts or extreme conditions.
- Storage: When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch winder to keep the automatic movement running.
Troubleshooting
Watch Has Stopped or is Running Slowly
- Insufficient Power Reserve: If the watch has not been worn for a while, manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times.
- Lack of Movement: Ensure you are wearing the watch for at least 8-10 hours a day for the automatic movement to function optimally.
- Magnetism: If the watch has been exposed to a strong magnetic field, it may need to be demagnetized by a professional watchmaker.
Date/Day Not Changing Correctly
- Incorrect Setting Time: Avoid setting the date and day between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. If you did, reset the time outside this window, adjust the date/day, and then set the correct time.
- Time Zone Adjustment: Ensure the watch's time is set to the correct 24-hour cycle (AM/PM) for the date change mechanism to operate at midnight.
Condensation or Fogging Inside the Crystal
- This indicates that moisture has entered the watch. Immediately take the watch to a qualified watchmaker for inspection and repair to prevent further damage to the movement.
