1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Huawei E5885 Mobile WiFi Pro 2. This portable 4G LTE Cat6 router offers high-speed internet access and can function as a mobile hotspot, supporting up to 32 Wi-Fi enabled devices. It also features an RJ45 WAN port and a powerful 6400mAh battery with power bank functionality.

3. Device Overview
Familiarize yourself with the device's components and indicators.

4. Setup

4.1. Insert SIM Card
Locate the Micro SIM card slot (refer to Figure 2). Gently insert your Micro SIM card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the SIM card is correctly oriented.

4.2. Charge the Device
Connect the device to a power source using the provided USB charging cable. The LED indicator or OLED display will show the charging status. The device has a 6400mAh battery and supports 5V/2A charging.

4.3. Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button (refer to Figure 4) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off. The OLED display will light up upon successful power-on.

4.4. Initial Wi-Fi Connection
Once powered on, the device will broadcast a Wi-Fi network. The default SSID (network name) and password can usually be found on a label inside the SIM card cover or on the device's packaging. Connect your Wi-Fi enabled device (phone, laptop, etc.) to this network using the provided credentials.

4.5. NFC Function (Zero Configuration)
If your device supports NFC, you can enable zero-configuration for Wi-Fi by tapping your NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet to the NFC area on the Mobile WiFi Pro 2. This will automatically connect your device to the Wi-Fi network without manual password entry.

4.6. Ethernet Port Usage
The device includes a single RJ-45 LAN port. You can connect an Ethernet cable from this port to a computer or another network device for wired internet access, or use it as a WAN port to connect to an existing wired network and share it wirelessly.
5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Connecting Devices
The Huawei E5885 supports up to 32 Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously. Search for the Wi-Fi network (SSID) on your devices and enter the password to connect.

5.2. Monitoring Status
The 0.96-inch OLED display provides real-time information on signal strength, network type (4G LTE, 3G), battery level, Wi-Fi status, and SMS notifications. Refer to Figure 3 for an example of the display.

5.3. Dual-Band Wi-Fi
The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) for flexible connectivity. You can configure these settings via the Hilink APP or web interface.

5.4. Hilink APP 3.0
Download the Huawei Hilink APP 3.0 for advanced management of your device, including network settings, connected devices, data usage monitoring, media storage, and file sharing features.

5.5. Power Bank Functionality
The 6400mAh battery can also be used to charge other electrical devices via the USB-A port (refer to Figure 2). Connect your device to the USB-A port using a compatible cable to initiate charging.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
- Do not disassemble the device. Any unauthorized repairs will void the warranty.
- For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the device with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.
- Ensure the device's firmware is up to date for best performance and security. Check for updates via the Hilink APP or web interface.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Signal/Poor Signal:
- Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted.
- Move to an area with better network coverage.
- Check the network status on the OLED display (Figure 3).
- No Internet Connection:
- Verify your SIM card has an active data plan.
- Check APN settings via the Hilink APP or web interface.
- Restart the device.
- Wi-Fi Connection Issues:
- Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the E5885 and your connecting device.
- Verify the Wi-Fi password.
- Try connecting to the other Wi-Fi band (2.4GHz or 5GHz).
- Reduce the distance between the E5885 and your connecting device.
- Device Not Responding:
- Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds to force a restart.
- If issues persist, a factory reset might be necessary (consult the Hilink APP or web interface for instructions, as this will erase custom settings).
