Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Basic Recording
- The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts.
- It will automatically power off when the vehicle is turned off.
- The 3.16" HD screen displays the live view from the front and rear cameras.
- Loop Recording: The camera continuously records. When the memory card is full, it automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked video files.
2. G-Sensor and Emergency Recording
- The built-in G-sensor detects sudden shakes or collisions.
- Upon detection, it automatically locks the current video segment (30 seconds before and 28 seconds after the event) to a special folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording.

3. 24-Hour Parking Monitoring
To enable 24-hour parking monitoring, you will need to use a hardwired kit (sold separately or included in specific packages) to provide continuous power to the dash cam.
- G-Sensor Trigger: In parking mode, if the G-sensor detects a collision or impact, the dash cam will automatically wake up and record a short video, then power off.
- Time-Lapse Recording: This mode records continuously at a low frame rate (e.g., 1 frame per second) while parked, compressing hours of footage into minutes. This saves storage space and allows for quick review of long parking periods.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lenses and the screen. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Memory Card: Regularly format your memory card (at least once a month) within the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Use a high-quality Class 10 or higher U3 speed micro SD card.
- Firmware Updates: Check the official REDTIGER website or app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
- Temperature: While the super capacitor provides excellent temperature resistance, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold when the device is not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam Not Turning On:
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's power outlet.
- Check if the car's cigarette lighter socket is functioning.
- Try a different power source if available.
- Recording Issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files):
- Format the memory card regularly.
- Ensure you are using a high-speed (Class 10, U3) micro SD card from a reputable brand.
- The memory card might be full; enable loop recording or replace the card.
- WiFi Connection Problems:
- Make sure the dash cam's WiFi is enabled.
- Ensure your smartphone is within range of the dash cam's WiFi signal.
- Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone.
