Installation Guide

1. Physical Installation

  1. Disconnect Power: Before starting any electrical work, ensure the main power supply to the distribution box is completely turned off at the main circuit breaker.
  2. Mounting: The EARU Smart Circuit Breaker is designed for 35MM Din Rail installation. Simply clip the device onto the standard Din Rail within your household lighting distribution box.

  4. Wiring: Connect the input (IN) and output (OUT) terminals according to the wiring diagram provided. Ensure all connections are secure using the tunnel-type wiring ports.

    • Connect the Neutral (N) wire to the N terminal.
    • Connect the Live (L1, L2, L3) wires to the respective IN terminals.
    • Connect the load wires to the corresponding OUT terminals.
  5. Restore Power: Once all connections are secure and verified, restore power to the distribution box.

2. App Connection

Your smart circuit breaker can be controlled via the Tuya/Smart Life app or the eWeLink app, depending on the model. Download the appropriate app from your device's app store (Android/iOS).

  1. Download App: Search for "Tuya Smart", "Smart Life", or "eWeLink" in your app store and install it.
  2. Register/Login: Open the app and register a new account or log in with an existing one.
  3. Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. This usually involves selecting the device type (e.g., "Circuit Breaker" or "Switch") and putting the device into pairing mode.
  4. Pairing Mode: If the device does not automatically enter pairing mode, you may need to long-press the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly.
  5. Network Connection: Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. 5GHz networks are not supported for initial setup.
  6. Complete Setup: Once the device is detected, follow the remaining prompts in the app to complete the connection.

Operating Instructions

1. Manual Operation

The circuit breaker can be manually turned ON or OFF by pressing the physical button on the device. The indicator light will show the current status.

2. App Control (Remote Control)

Once connected to the app (Tuya/Smart Life or eWeLink), you can control the circuit breaker remotely from your smartphone or tablet.

  • Open the app and select your circuit breaker device.
  • Tap the ON/OFF button within the app to toggle the power.

3. Voice Control

Integrate your circuit breaker with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for convenient voice commands.

  1. Ensure your smart speaker (Alexa Echo, Google Home) is set up and linked to your Tuya/Smart Life or eWeLink account.
  2. Use commands such as:
    • "Alexa, turn on [Device Name]"
    • "Hey Google, turn off [Device Name]"

4. Timing Functions

The app provides various timing options to automate your devices:

  • Countdown Mode: Set a timer for the device to turn off after a specific duration.

Maintenance

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Regularly check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear.
  • Ensure the device is not exposed to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-25℃ to 70℃).

Troubleshooting

User Tips

  • Energy Monitoring: Please note that this specific model of circuit breaker does not support energy usage tracking through the Tuya or eWeLink app. Its primary functions are remote switching and timing.
  • Timing Precision: For critical applications, always double-check your scheduled timings in the app to ensure they are set correctly for daily, weekly, or monthly operations.
  • Current Rating: The device is available in 63A and 80A versions. Ensure the selected device's rated current matches or exceeds the requirements of your circuit. The current rating is fixed and not adjustable.
  • Power Outage Recovery: Utilize the 'Power Off Memory' feature to ensure your devices return to their desired state after a power interruption, which can be configured in the app settings.
