5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your 6133A Battery Capacity Indicator and Voltmeter Gauge:

  1. Prepare Mounting Location: Choose a suitable location for the display unit. Ensure the surface is flat and allows for the required hole size of 58.5mm x 28.5mm.
  2. Cut Opening: Carefully cut an opening of 58.5mm x 28.5mm in the chosen mounting surface.
  3. Insert Display Unit: Insert the display unit into the cut opening. The unit is designed to buckle into place for a secure fit.
  4. Wiring: Connect the provided wiring harness to the pluggable connectors on the back of the display unit. Ensure correct polarity (red wire for positive, black wire for negative). The device features reverse protection, but correct wiring is always recommended.
  5. Connect to Battery: Connect the other end of the wiring harness to your battery system. Ensure the battery voltage is within the DC 8V-100V range.
  6. Secure Wiring: Route and secure all wiring to prevent accidental disconnection or damage.
  7. Power On: Once all connections are secure, power on your battery system. The display unit should light up and show the current battery capacity and voltage.

6. Operating Instructions

The 6133A features a "SET" button and a "PWR" (or power/mode) button for navigation and configuration.

6.1 Mode Navigation

  • Short press the "SET" button to cycle through display modes (e.g., voltage, capacity, temperature if applicable).
  • Long press the "SET" button (for 2 seconds) to enter the settings menu.
  • In settings, use the "PWR" button (bottom right) to change values or bits, and the "SET" button (top right) to confirm and save, or to shift between settings.
  • Long press the "SET" button (for 2 seconds) to exit settings and return to the main display.

6.2 Battery Type Settings (Modes 1, 2, 3)

The device supports Lead Acid (P), Ternary Lithium (L), and Iron Lithium (F) batteries. These settings are retained in power-off memory.

  1. Lead Acid Battery (Mode 1-P):

    On the lead-acid battery settings page, the voltage value flashes. Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to select the desired battery voltage (e.g., 12V, 36V, 48V, 60V, 72V, 84V). After selecting the voltage, short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the value. Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

  2. Ternary Lithium Battery (Mode 2-L):

    On the ternary lithium-ion battery settings page, the battery string number value flashes. Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to select the desired battery string number (from L03 to L20). After selecting the string number, short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the value. Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

  3. Iron Lithium Battery (Mode 3-F):

    On the iron lithium battery settings page, the battery string number value flashes. Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to select the desired battery string number (from F03 to F23). After selecting the string number, short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the value. Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

6.3 Custom High and Low Voltage Settings (Mode 4)

On this page, "00.0" on the left represents the low voltage, and "000" on the right represents the saturation voltage. (Tip: The actual value of 000 on the right is 00.0, for example, 255 shows 25.5).

  • Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to set the bit value.
  • After the bit value is set, long press the bottom right button (PWR) for 2 seconds to shift to the next bit.
  • Once both the low voltage and saturation voltage are set, short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the values (all values remain lit).
  • Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

6.4 Display Backlight Settings (Mode 5-b)

On the backlight setting page, "ON/OFF" flashes.

  • Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to select ON or OFF.
  • ON: The display screen automatically delays for 10 seconds before turning off.
  • OFF: The display screen remains on.
  • Short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the options.
  • Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

6.5 Low Pressure Alarm Settings (Mode 6-Lo)

On the Low Voltage Alarm Settings page, "00.0" on the left is the setting value.

  • Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to set the bit value.
  • After the bit value is set, long press the bottom right button (PWR) for 2 seconds to shift.
  • After the alarm voltage is set, short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the value (all values remain lit).
  • Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

6.6 Alarm Sound Settings (Mode 7-A)

On the alarm sound setting page, the ON/OFF button flashes.

  • Short press the bottom right button (PWR) to select ON or OFF.
  • ON: Turn on the alarm sound.
  • OFF: Turn off the alarm sound.
  • Short press the top right button (SET) to confirm and save the options.
  • Long press the top right button (SET) for 2 seconds to return to the main page, or short press it to set other modes.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display and casing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, ensure it is in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Accuracy Calibration: The device features an adjustable potentiometer for accuracy error calibration. If you suspect inaccurate readings, this can be adjusted by a qualified technician.
