3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
- If a battery is not pre-installed, open the compartment cover.
- Insert one AG10 button cell battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.2 Placement
The unit features a tabletop design, allowing for convenient placement on any flat surface. It can also be wall-mounted. For accurate readings, place the device away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with extreme drafts.
4. Operating Instructions
The device features four control buttons: MODE, ADJ, MEMORY, and °C/°F. Refer to Figure 2 for button locations.
4.1 Basic Display
Upon power-on, the display will show:
- Weather Forecast: Indicated by icons (e.g., sun, clouds, rain).
- Time: In AM/PM format.
- Date: Month and Day.
- Week: Day of the week.
- Temperature: Current temperature.
- Humidity: Current relative humidity (RH%).
4.2 Setting Time and Date
- Press and hold the MODE button for a few seconds until the time display starts flashing.
- Use the ADJ button to adjust the flashing digit (hours, then minutes).
- Press MODE again to move to the next setting (e.g., minutes, then date, month, year).
- Repeat step 2 and 3 until all settings are correct.
- Press MODE to exit setting mode.
4.3 Setting Alarm Clock
- Press the MODE button once to switch to alarm display mode (usually indicated by an alarm icon).
- Press and hold the MODE button until the alarm time starts flashing.
- Use the ADJ button to set the desired alarm hour and minute.
- Press MODE to confirm and exit alarm setting.
- To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the ADJ button while in alarm display mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the screen.
4.4 Temperature Unit Switching (°C/°F)
Press the °C/°F button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
4.5 Viewing MAX/MIN Temperature and Humidity Records
Press the MEMORY button to cycle through the current, maximum (MAX), and minimum (MIN) temperature and humidity readings. The display will show the recorded highest and lowest values since the last reset or power cycle.
4.6 Weather Forecast
The device provides a general weather forecast based on humidity changes. The icons on the display will change to reflect predicted weather conditions (e.g., sunny, cloudy, rainy).
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water.
5.2 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, it's time to replace the AG10 button cell battery. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 3.1.
6. Troubleshooting
- No display or dim display: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient power. Replace the AG10 battery if necessary.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the device is placed in a stable environment, away from direct heat, cold, or drafts. Allow some time for the sensor to stabilize after moving the unit.
- Buttons unresponsive: Try removing and re-inserting the battery to perform a soft reset.
