1. Introduction

The NOYAFA JMS15 is a versatile desktop device designed for real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity. It features a clear LCD screen, perpetual calendar, and an alarm clock function, making it an essential tool for maintaining a comfortable and healthy environment in various settings such as homes, offices, hotels, and restaurants.

2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation

The device operates on AAA batteries. To install or replace batteries:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2.2. Initial Placement

For accurate readings, place the device in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat sources, direct sunlight, or drafts. The device can be placed on a desktop using its collapsible support or mounted on a wall using the wall-mount hole.

The device features induction holes on both sides of the back to ensure wider air contact, leading to more sensitive sensors and accurate data.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Temperature Unit Switching

Short press the C°/F button to switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) units.

3.2. Viewing MAX and MIN Temperature and Humidity

To view the recorded maximum and minimum values:

  1. Long press the MEM button. The interface will display "MAX" to indicate the maximum recorded temperature and humidity.
  2. Short press MEM again. The interface will display "MIN" to indicate the minimum recorded temperature and humidity.
  3. Short press MEM once more to return to the normal display mode.

3.3. Date and Time Adjustment

To adjust the date and time:

  1. Long press the MODE button to enter the date and time adjustment mode. The current value being modified will flash.
  2. Short press MODE repeatedly to cycle through the adjustable parameters: minutes, hours, 24 or 12-hour format, year, month, and date.
  3. Use the ADJ button to modify the flashing value.
  4. After all adjustments are complete, short press MODE to return to the main interface.

3.4. Alarm Function On/Off

To activate or deactivate the alarm:

  1. From the main interface, short press the MODE button to enter the alarm clock mode.
  2. Short press the ADJ button to toggle the alarm clock on or off. When the alarm is on, an alarm clock icon will be displayed on the screen.
  3. If the alarm is sounding, short press the MODE button to turn off the alarm tone.
  4. After toggling the alarm, short press the MODE button to return to the main interface.

3.5. Alarm Time Adjustment

To set the alarm time:

  1. From the main interface, short press the MODE button to enter the alarm clock mode.
  2. Long press the MODE button again to enter the alarm time adjustment. The minutes will flash.
  3. Use the ADJ button to adjust the minutes.
  4. Short press MODE to switch to adjusting the hours. Use the ADJ button to adjust the hours.
  5. After completing the adjustment, short press MODE to return to the main interface.

4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and accuracy of your NOYAFA JMS15 detector:

  • Keep the device clean and dry.
  • Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity for prolonged periods.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning the display and casing.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical agents, as these may damage the device.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

5. Troubleshooting

  • No Display / Device Not Turning On:
    Ensure batteries are correctly installed with the proper polarity. Replace with fresh AAA batteries if necessary.
  • Incorrect Temperature/Humidity Readings:
    Verify the device is placed in a stable environment, away from direct heat sources, cold drafts, or areas with rapid temperature/humidity changes. Allow some time for the sensor to stabilize after moving the device.
  • "HH" or "LL" on Temperature Display:
    "HH" indicates the measured temperature is above the maximum range (50°C). "LL" indicates the measured temperature is below the minimum range (-20°C). Move the device to an environment within the specified operating temperature range.
  • Alarm Not Sounding:
    Check if the alarm function is enabled (alarm icon visible on display). Ensure the alarm time is set correctly.
