5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your M.2 SSD into the enclosure:
- Open the Enclosure: Slide the button cover to the left and gently pull the shell out to open the enclosure.
- Apply Thermal Pad: Stick the thermal pad and the thermal fin onto your M.2 SSD. This aids in heat dissipation.
- Insert SSD: Stick the thermal pad to the SSD and carefully insert the SSD into the enclosure's slot. Ensure it is seated correctly.
- Close the Enclosure: Place the shell back and slide the button cover to the right until it clicks into place, securing the SSD.

6. Operating Instructions
Once the SSD is securely installed in the enclosure:
- Connect the enclosure to your computer using the provided 2-in-1 USB-C cable. Use either the USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C connection depending on your computer's ports.
- The enclosure will be recognized as an external storage device by your operating system (Windows, Mac OS, Linux).
- For new, unused SSDs, you may need to initialize and partition the drive through your operating system's disk management utility before it can be recognized and used.
- You can now transfer files to and from the SSD.
Data Transfer Speeds
- When using an NVMe SSD, the transmission rate is up to 10Gbps, with read and write speeds reaching approximately 1000MB/s.
- When using an M.2 SATA SSD, the transmission rate is up to 5Gbps, with read and write speeds reaching approximately 450MB/s.
The enclosure supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) and TRIM commands for optimized performance and SSD longevity.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the enclosure. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Heat Dissipation: The enclosure features a rapid cooling aluminum alloy shell, a combined heat dissipation module, and a silicone thermal pad to maintain stable operating temperatures.
- Storage: Store the enclosure in a cool, dry place when not in use.

8. Troubleshooting
- SSD Not Recognized: If a new SSD is not recognized, ensure it has been initialized and partitioned in your operating system's disk management utility.
- Slow Transfer Speeds: Verify that your computer's USB port supports USB 3.1 Gen2 (10Gbps) for NVMe SSDs or USB 3.0 (5Gbps) for SATA SSDs. Older USB 2.0 ports will result in significantly slower speeds. Ensure the cable is properly connected.
- Enclosure Heats Up: It is normal for the aluminum case to heat up during use, especially during prolonged data transfers. This is due to the efficient heat dissipation design transferring heat away from the SSD. It does not affect normal operation.
- Connection Issues: Try using a different USB port or cable to rule out faulty components.
9. User Tips
- New SSD Partitioning: Always remember to initialize and partition a brand new SSD before first use, otherwise, it will not appear in your file explorer.
- Normal Operating Temperature: The enclosure is designed to dissipate heat effectively. It is normal for the aluminum casing to become warm to the touch during operation, especially under heavy load. This indicates the cooling system is working as intended.
- Broad Compatibility: This enclosure is compatible with various brands of NVMe and SATA M.2 SSDs, not limited to specific manufacturers.
